Thank you for this! I've had this basic scenario in my head since last week because I was so irritated with the way Britta was forcing this issue on Jeff.

The dude was abandoned by his father--it's his decision whether or not he wants to deal with it. This is the only time he's held the power over that relationship, so it should be his choice.

Unf Unf Unf - you're icon is just...God there are no words :)

And yes! I completely agree. That whole scenario with Britta was just so wrong to me - especially when she's complained before about her own daddy issues (something about an overbearing dad or something like that anyway).

I may decide to do another part...if it so takes my fancy! Thanks again for reading.

Aww. Thank u so much for doing at resemblence of this prompt. I'm most glad u have annie and jeff talk about this, cuz one of the reasons I love them both together is their conversations feel organic & have more feel for each other. I agree with whoever said that jeffs conversation with britta abt his father felt spelled out to me. First time britta brought up was fine, but every conversation was like beating the drum slowly. Jeff has father issues. I get it writers. Sort of ruined a potential buddy moment with jeff and peirce. Cuz if both realzied their father issues on their own the episode would be much better.

I agree, one of the reasons I love this pairing is because they do talk and it doesn't feel forced - I think they are mostly comfortable with one and other because they know there is a level of care and respect for the other that they don't need to address everytime they talk - they just know.

Britta is actually a character I adore but she really pushed her luck last week and I agree, there could have been more Jeff/Pierce interaction here even if apart the parallels would have been wonderful.

Alas, that did not happen. So I hope this made up for parts we didn't get to see :)

Very nice story, thanks for sharing it. As for deviating from the prompt, one time I took one of moeexyz's Ficcy Friday prompts and wrote a story that was, in almost every respect, the exact opposite of what she asked for. So if let me get away with that, I think midtega will let this one slide. :-)

Haha, yeah I take that point :)

I may decide to make a sequel, if we ever get to the point of meeting William Winger (though I'd much rather meet Jeff's mom tbh)

thanks again though for reading!

Agreed. Though I think there's something going to come out before Christmas as to whats goin on with Jeff - seeing a therapist, crying?! Its all too intriguing. Wouldn't surprise me if it was somethin to do with Papa Winger.

Glad the characterizations weren't too off here either!x
