I was on a hunt for one of your stories because I never commented and I wanted to show some support when I stumbled across this and then...well, I thought why not take a pause and show some support here

Thank you so much. I fear that I lashed out without thinking properly when I responded to the post (If I'd thought about it I'd have definitely prefaced my comments with the first Britta gif above

My god you need to get on this show. It's like a half hour show that is so easy and fun to watch - honestly, do it! It can be your Christmas present to me

I honestly don't know if it's available or not. It's in Season 3 anyway. I challenge you to not fall in love with Annie/Jeff (although if you find age difference creepy then maybe you won't like them much - although you get vampires etc so really if age was a problem then I'd call you a big hypocrite

I managed to miss that whole irritating ordeal, so I'm glad you pointed it out. And that's exactly it - if I start reading a story and see that it's going somewhere I don't like, I don't immediately make a post about OMG HOW DARE THEY PLAY WITH THE BARBIES THAT WAY. If you want to write a story where Jeff is Annie's pimp and they fall in love, then you should write it. Seriously. Who am I to police what you write and why does putting a character in a dramatic situation equal hatred? Because IT DOESN'T.
So, a huge second to those gifs up there.
(I've had a few similar things happen, but on FFN - one reviewer said the characters were acting like trailer trash (? really?) and another said that it was irresponsible to post about a child going through what was basically a fight between her parents. UGH. So, yeah. And if the people commenting want more kickass Annie, then WRITE KICKASS ANNIE, people who want to read that. Ugh.
In conclusion, they need to shut it and you need to keep being amazing with what you're writing.)
Thank you for taking the time to comment, and I agree wholeheartedly. I think most people agreed that the fic writers can write what they like but there were suggestions that the members of the Milady/Milord community shouldnt encourage it by commenting positively on such stories because its portraying Annie uncharacteristically! That's so wrong in my eyes! I have my own mind as do others and can comment on what I like when I like saying what I like. Grr!
As for FF.net, don't even get me started. The readers on there are so demanding its unbelievable!
So thank you once again for being so nice about it all :)
This. I just can't even with that post. At the end of the day, I just couldn't look at it and tried to ignore it, as best I could. I love your fanfics, no matter how "dark" they may be and I'll continue to read them. Hang in there, we're all right there beside you.
Okay, I know I'm soooo two thousand and late to this post. But I LOVED your previous fic (your current one for some reason I can't get into, and I apologize for that) and would like to think that we are in some way friends (or at least friendly) because we've discussed law school and you've been so supportive of me in that regard. So I remembered your user name and came wandering in to see if there was anything new that you've written and came across this post.
I have nothing to contribute to her post (not to mention it's outdated) except for inappropriate gifs gathered from various Real Housewives franchises that are not very nice. But what I find interesting/what REALLY made me mad is when she says "When asked by people in this fandom why I've stopped writing, this is the reason I use. I feel I have nothing to add to this sad, desperate, drug-addicted prostitute portrait of Annie that we have managed to paint." to which I say, "That's a convenient bullshit answer. You write what you want to write, don't blame other people for your

Haha well I'm not going to talk trash (much) since there are always going to be stories you like and stories you don't, and who knows, maybe she'll one day write a story I care about but I *respectfully* disagree with your statement of her having good characterization (from the very long fic anyway) for now
