It's my first time commenting so I will start by saying that I LOVE ALL YOUR FICS!!! They are awesome and I get excited when you update :)

Back to the story: I'm glad there are some happy times before the angst that has been warned.
I was wondering if we're ever going to meet Jeff's mom?

Oh wow, thank you! And I think we will meet Jeff's mom at some point in maybe 3 or 4 chapters time because he's going to need a little parental input I think.

Can I just say how refreshing it is to read a fic where Jeff is the rock and the voice of reason and he's the one that wants a relationship and Annie is the insecure one freaking out about it? I mean, I know there's more to it than that and I'm sure there's some high drama ahead and Annie is totally justified in her apprehensions about Jeff's commitment because he's rejected her time and time again. But I just love that it's a kind of role-reversal with Jeff being the one ready to commit and Annie having reservations. And even with that being said it's still so completely in character it gives me much happiness :D

I just hope that Jeff is wanting a relationship with Annie not out of a sense of obligation because of the baby but because he actually loves her and wants her.

Wow really? Why thank you. I guess I just really, really wanted Jeff to grow up a bit in this. I mean, I figure he's about 33/34 going by my canon calculations so I think he's probably old enough to be able to handle responsibility appropriately :)

I have a feeling you might like how I've twisted this one a bit because the drama isn't necessarily of either Jeff or Annie's own making but the consequences are big. Then again, maybe you won't like it at all but I do hope you'll read anyway!

Jeff definitely feels a sense of obligation towards Annie but it is definitely deeper than that. He's noticing again just how awesome she is as a person - how caring and self-possessed she is - that whilst the circumstances have thrown them together enough for Jeff to see it, he already new his attraction to Annie was there, it was just these new circumstances made it harder and harder for him to suppress it. Hope that makes sense :)
