It was wrong.
It felt right though, it was the right people, it could possibly have been the right place but it was definitely the wrong time. Any ways recap.
He sighed after all this time; things were still in their way.
He was Joe Jonas, one third of the Jonas Brothers, awesome singer, hot funny guy who loved his family and friends, but things still hurt him and he didn’t always get what he wanted.
He was in Dallas; he had just flown in ready to surprise fans in Grapevine to premier the 3D Movie. To be honest he was sick of the stupid movie, and all the screaming.
Thankfully later on they would be able to chill at the after-party, hang out with Demi and some friends from Texas.
Speaking of Demi, where was she? Dad said that she was already in Dallas spending time with her family. She was going to spend the night at theirs so she could catch up with them.
They only got to spend a small amount of time with her at the LA 3D Movie premier and he hated when the press were asking her things, and she was talking she was up to and things she had done and he didn’t know half of the things she mentioned, it was then he realised how much he had missed her.
He hated how distant they had gotten recently, they had drifted after whilst he dated Taylor but had managed to get back close, meeting up whilst filming in LA and chilling out over Christmas. But then they went back to LA, back to work and now they always seem to be too busy to hang out, and she always seemed really distant and sad when they did. Now she had always seemed to have her ‘Demi Lovato, everything is fine’ mask on, even through him being Joe knew that everything wasn’t always as good as she said it was. But he would ask what was up, she would lie and tell him she was just tired, missing Selena and family at home but he always knew it was more than that and that she wasn’t telling him the truth.
He always meant to get her to spend some time with him figuring if something was wrong of course she wasn’t going to tell him in a 5-minute convo over the phone, but he always got distracted as there was always something to do whether it was work or Camilla. He’ll come to the Camilla issue in a bit.
Even if he got the chance to hang out with Demi, it was in a big group of people, not just Joe/Demi time anymore. He knows she hated it when he and Taylor spilt and both of them argued. As she got on with Taylor which he loved at the time that his girlfriend and his best girl friend got on, but now he felt bad because Taylor was upset so was badmouthing him, he was annoyed at her and Demi was just torn between the two.
In the end, she managed to stay friends with both, she told Taylor that Joe was her best friend and she wanted Taylor to stop badmouthing him because it was hurting her, but then she came and told him that she wasn’t going to stop her being friends with Taylor just because Joe and Tay weren’t together anymore, that she may be on his side supporting him, but she still thought he was an idiot and she hated everything about Camilla.
When he mentioned it to his family the other day about how little he got to see Demi, Kevin just laughed and teased him for wanted to spend all his time with her. Joe didn’t see what was wrong about wanted to hang out with his best friend.
And Nick just scoffed and said ‘’why would she want to hang around with some-one who doesn’t give a damn’ he didn’t know what was wrong with Nick every time he mentioned Demi, Nick snapped at him. He wondered if Demi had maybe said something to Nick, and now Nick was annoyed with Joe too.
And when he got in for filming J.O.N.A.S the other day, his Dad said his Mom was out, which both Joe and Nick found odd.
When she finally came back in late for dinner, she was laughing and smiling. Nick had asked her where she had been and she had gone out for lunch and then went shopping. With Demi, HIS Demi.
So he sat there, eating his dinner while his Mom raved about how happy Demi was, that she was looking pretty than ever, that she was hanging out with Selena and her family loads, and that she loved filming SWAC and that they were her new family.
He hated it; it felt like everyone was seeing her but him. And the Sonny cast can’t be her new family, she’s got us and the Camp Rock crew she doesn’t need a new family.
But when he voiced that over dinner his mom snapped at him, told him to stop being so selfish and that Demi needed people around her that would always be there.
He was shocked all he said was that he missed Dems, he was confused over why everyone was snapping at him, hello she was his best friend. Maybe they know something don’t was his first thought, but he shook his head; Demi would tell him, wouldn’t she?!
He was glad to be back in Dallas, he had a lot of happy memories here, and a lot of them were with Demi. They sat down to watch a movie, and Joe propped up his feet on the coffee table he and Demi had ruined whilst molding. He chuckled to himself; Kevin looked at him strangely but then saw what he was laughing at and smirked.
But then the doorbell went and Frankie was already running to the door before Mom could even get up. He wondered who it was, arriving middle of the day, when not many people knew that they were back in Texas.
And then he heard that laugh; and knew exactly who it was. He turned in his chair exactly as Demi came through their walkway into their dining room carrying Frankie on her back.
‘Yo Yo Yo, yeah I said it twice you got a problem with that?!’ was Demi’s first comment as she walks in. ‘Never a problem as long as we can hang with you’ Kevin responded laughing. ‘Definitely, but you know if William Beckett or John Mayer come along, you’ve getting ditched Kevy’ she replied smirking.
‘Ouch Demi, you hurt us’ Nick pipes up, ‘Aww poor baby, you want me to kiss it better’ she laughs as Nick offers her his cheek to kiss, and Demi just blows a raspberry in his face! ‘Nick just PONED!’ Frankie screeches standing on his chair.
Demi turned to Denise, ‘Sorry Mom, ruining your nice quiet afternoon because Nick got Poned’ Denise laughed and hugged her, before leaving to get snacks for them. Joe was worried what if things were awkward between them; they hadn’t really spoken since he postponed a super awesome Joe/Demi only shopping trip to go out with Camilla because Camilla said it was important

Demi turned and saw him, and as if she could tell he was worried; lunged into his arms for a hug. ‘Awwww I’ve missed you, Joey. No-one gives as good hugs as you’ she murmured only loud enough for him to hear, flashing her trademark smile.
He looked at her and could tell she meant it, she seemed a lot happier then she was last time he saw her. But then the last time he saw her, she was missing Selena, getting annoyed at stupid rumours and had just broken up with Shabby Cabby.
She hugged Kevin, sqealed over Kevin's phone to Danielle and hugged Maya before flopping down on his lap before stating that they better not be watching something ‘guy-ish’.
When Kevin responded saying that they are guys so they watch guy stuff, she laughed at him.
Everyone got annoyed with them as he and Demi do running commentary throughout the film, and tell everyone the goofs.
A couple of hours later they were on their 3rd film , which Demi and Maya had picked when Mom came and said Demi had to leave to get ready for the premier.
He was annoyed, he’s only just got his best friend back and she was already going, as Demi was pulling on her shoes and jacket Kevin leaned over to him and chuckling said ‘Chill out dude, you’ll see her in like an hour’
The premier was awesome, he loves seeing the fans reactions and remembering the crazy stunts they pulled on tour. But now was the bit he was looking forward to the most; the bowling/ after party. He was going to thrash Nick at bowling and hang with his best friend without having to worry about press.
