“I thought you’d be staying home tonight,” my mom told me, as I buttoned up my polo. I told her that I said no such thing, and that I’d be home earlier than usual.

now this entry, i can "safely" comment on. hehe... :p

zig, i think what you've written about is something universal. in all relationships amongst all peoples no matter what their personality or status or whatever, there are moments of closeness and there are falling out times. and it's especially prevalent sa parent-son/daughters. but, what's important is that we realize it, go back, and exert an effort sa relationship. you've done that. you're doing this. that night you were beside your sleeping mom and this blog entry says it all. in that regard, i'm happy for you. :)

sometimes we tend to take our mom(s) for granted... but in the end, she's someone who will love us even if we do, and will always take us back even if we do... and especially when no one else will...

i miss my mom.
