The Game
Last year, CW decided to remake 90210. Ok fine, you remade one of the best teen dramas of the 90's but you put it in a tough spot since at the time it went up against House and NCIS which were the big rating makers for Tuesday's 8pm time slot.
This year, they are remaking Melrose Place............. and putting it after 90210. Now, if memory serves, Melrose Place did not last very long.
A Twilight-esque show called Vampire Diaries. Really? At least they are pairing it with Supernatural, which bumps Smallville to Fridays with the America's Next Top Model repeat. Here is an idea... cancel smallville, it is boring now.
The Beautiful Life. The only show that I saw that might have potential. Mischa Barton and Elle Macpherson... might be interesting though it is about models living in NYC.
They got rid of Reaper, which was a good thing because it had potential but just went down hill.
They have one show that might be a mid-season launch called Parental Discression.
CW once again proves that they are one one of the less important, not very bright stations. My9 seems better at the moment. I have never seen a whole station jump the shark before!

I am confused about something that I have just read via ABC: Better Off Ted, Castle, Scrubs and True Beauty join previously announced returning series America’s Funniest Home Videos, The Bachelor, Brothers and Sisters, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Private Practice, Supernanny, Ugly Betty, Wife Swap and 20/20. Now, please note the underlined show. Did I miss something? I thought Scrubs was not coming back??? There will also be a 10th prime time anniversary of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Plus on ABC.com, LOST is also on the coming soon side of things. ABC confuses me since LOST is also supposed to be done.
Cougar Town. Ok, this is staring Courtney Cox, this might be good.
The Deep End. Just great, another law show... Billy Zane is in it... didn't know he was still acting.
Eastwick. Want to take a guess what this is about? Yes, another witch show. Charmed was good, so I guess ABC thought they would try a witch show. This will be staring Rebecca Romijn
Flash Forward. ok, you have to read this: A mysterious global event causes everyone to black out simultaneously for two minutes and seventeen seconds, and each person sees a glimpse of their lives six months from now. When they wake up, everyone is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen. Ok, this sounds weird and cool at the same time. I don't see it lasting long though.
The Forgotten. I am sure after a few episodes, we will have forgotten about this show. Here is what ABC says: Gone but not forgotten. That's what they say. But what if a killer took your life -- and your name? Every city has its share of unidentified murder victims. When standard police procedure fails to give them a name, that's when the Identity Network steps in. eh.
Hank. A Wall Street CEO is forced out and the family is forced to move to the country. Good job ABC, take real life of sorts and use to it your advantage. Stars Kelsey Grammar.
Happy Town. A happy town is about to change. ugh. At least Amy Acker is in it.
The Middle. The Janitor from Scrubs gets his own show, with Patrica Heaton from Everyone Loves Raymond none the less. This is awesome! Forget about athletes, movie stars and politicians. Parents are the real heroes -- but Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton), well she's some kind of superhero. A loving wife and mother of three, she's middle class in the middle of the country and is rapidly approaching middle age. Seems interesting.
Modern Family. AL BUNDY HAS A SHOW AGAIN! That's right, Ed O'Neill is staring in this! Here is the description: When the Pritchett, Delgado and Dunphy families agree to be interviewed by a documentary crew, they have no idea just how much they're about to reveal about themselves. This engaging new comedy offers a 'mockumentary' view into the complicated, messy, loving life of three unique families. Julie Bowen is also in this... where do i know her from?
Shark Tank. Reality show... shoot me!
V. ok, now this seems like it has potential. Description: Today, the world woke up to find spaceships over every major city. The Visitors claim to have come in peace, bringing gifts of medical miracles and technological breakthroughs. They promise to do no harm. They're lying. I could have sworn this was done before though. Oh and Firefly fans.... Morena Baccarin is in it... but she cut her hair EXTREMELY short.

My Name Is Earl
Only 4 new shows in the fall for NBC, well sort of. They cancel My Name is Earl yet keep The Office?!? WTF!
Trauma. I guess this is supposed to replace ER. It is based around First Respond Units. Seems interesting. They are putting this after Heroes (yes, Heroes is now going to be at 8pm... which means I can watch Heroes and WWE Raw both the same night!).
Parenthood. Watch the movie... basically the same concept.
Community. Ok, this is going to be funny, at least I hope so. NBC Description: It's been said that community college is a halfway school for losers, a self esteem workshop for newly divorced housewives, and a place where old people go to keep their minds active as they circle the drain of eternity. Well, at Greendale Community College...that's all true. Community focuses on a band of misfits, at the center of which is a fast-talkin' lawyer whose degree has been revoked (Joel McHale, The Soup). They form a study group and, in Breakfast Club fashion, end up learning a lot more about themselves than they do about their course work. Seems good to me! good idea to replace Scrubs with (yes, I know Scrubs moved to ABC for their last season... shush).
The Jay Leno Show. Ok, retire already! Ok people, for those less informed, Jay Leno did not want to leave the Tonight Show yet but Conan O'Brian was bitching about wanting a better time slot. well, since the only other time slot to give was The Tonight Shows' slot, they asked Leno to step down when his contract was coming up to give to Conan and I think they even paid him off. However, they didn't want Leno going to another station and competing with NBC, so they gave him his own show Monday-Friday @ 10pm. This is the real reason ER was canceled. This show is going to fail SO badly!!!
Now for the well sort of .....
Seems that the 2010 Winter Olympics is the break for NBC. So after the Olympics, Chuck comes back and a bunch of new shows as well.
I dunno, it is weird... and will have to keep you updated on their Mid-Season. Now if you noticed, Medium is no longer on the NBC lineup.... that is because they canceled it. However, it was picked up by CBS.

Without A Trace
Ok after reading what they have in-store, I am intrigued. As stated in the NBC section, they picked up Medium from NBC. They are putting it in between Ghost Whisperer and Numbers on Fridays. They canceled my Without a Trace damn it!!!!! Anyways...
NCIS: Los Angeles. Ok, if you have watched this past season of NCIS, especially the last few episodes of the show, you saw a two part episode where Gibbs and McGee go to Los Angeles and hook up with the team there. Well, this spin off is based around that team (before the ending of the second part). It seems Chris O'Donnell and L.L. Cool J will be staring in this spin off. And wouldn't you know it, it comes on right after NCIS! Be warned, this won't be like your typical NCIS... this is more of the special undercover ops team version.
The Good Wife. Reading the synopsis of this show made my head hurt! Decription via CBS: THE GOOD WIFE is a drama starring Emmy Award winner Julianna Margulies as a wife and mother who must assume full responsibility for her family and re-enter the workforce after her husband’s very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail. Pushing aside the betrayal and crushing public humiliation caused by her husband Peter (Chris Noth), Alicia Florrick (Margulies) starts over by pursuing her original career as a defense attorney. As a junior associate at a prestigious Chicago law firm, she joins her longtime friend, former law school classmate and firm partner Will Gardner (Josh Charles), who is interested to see how Alicia will perform after 13 years out of the courtroom. Alicia is grateful the firm’s top litigator, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), offers to mentor her but discovers the offer has conditions and realizes she’s going to need to succeed on her own merit. Alicia’s main competition among the firm’s 20-something new recruits is Cary (Matt Czuchry), a recent Harvard grad who is affable on the surface, but will use any means to ensure that he, not Alicia, secures the one full-time associate position that’s available. Fortunately, Alicia finds an ally in Kalinda (Archie Panjabi), the firm’s tough in-house investigator. Gaining confidence every day, Alicia transforms herself from embarrassed politician’s scorned wife to resilient career woman, especially for the sake of providing a stable home for her children, 14-year-old Zach (Graham Phillips) and 13-year-old Grace (Makenzie Vega). For the first time in years, Alicia trades in her identity as the “good wife” and takes charge of her own destiny. Tony Scott, Ridley Scott, Robert King, Michelle King, Dee Johnson and David Zucker are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios. As I love Julianna Margulies, I am not too sure about this show.
Three Rivers. A medical show. ugh! this one takes you inside the lives and dramas of organ donors, patients and doctors. I say this will be the failure of the new shows on CBS.
Accidentally on Purpose. Jenna Elfman!!!! Hell Yeah!!! Single Mom accidentally finds herself pregnant after a one-night stand with a much younger guy. Seems interesting.
The Bridge. Cop show, kinda. More of a cop's view into the union and such. This is what I was getting from the synopsis. meh.
Miami Trauma. Doesn't NBC have a show called Trauma????? Anyways, unlike the NBC Trauma, this is about expert surgeons and only take the most critical cases. Shoot me!
Arranged Marriages. Description via CBS: ARRANGED MARRIAGE is a series that brings the tradition of arranged marriages, which is still practiced successfully by many cultures throughout the world, to the U.S., where it is virtually an inconceivable option for most single Americans. Three adults who are anxious to get married, but who have been unsuccessful in their own search for a mate, choose a life-altering path. They rely on their closest family and friends, those who love and know them best, to choose someone for them to marry based on shared goals, values, experiences and the commitment to make it work. The series intimately documents these three arranged marriages, starting with the first meetings of the families and the wedding day; and then follows the couple through the day-to-day joys, challenges, and emotional tumult that results from their arranged union. Emmy Award nominees Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth are executive producers for Magical Elves Inc. My head hurt reading this one too. Though I laughed when I saw the words Magical Elves Inc. .

Glee. Glee club drama. Give me a break!
The Cleveland Show. Why in bloody hell are they giving the Cleveland character his own show????? He is boring!!!
Brothers. I see this as a FAIL. A brief synopsis via FOX: a new half-hour comedy about a former NFL hot shot who learns that even though you can always go home again, the trip back might be tougher than you think Staring Michael Strahan. Good to know he has a career outside football.
The Wanda Sykes Show (working title). eh, skit show. Can't compete!
Human Target. Based on the DC Comic. read the comic for synopsis!
Past Life. Brief synopsis via FOX: Have you ever experienced dj vu or met someone you thought seemed familiar? Do you believe in karma, fate or love at first sight? PAST LIFE, a new drama series about an unlikely pair of past-life detectives who investigate whether what is happening to you today is the result of who you were before. Inspired by the book “The Reincarnationist” by M.J. Rose.
Sons of Tuscan. FAIL! Brief synopsis via FOX: In the tradition of “Malcolm in the Middle” and “The Bernie Mac Show,” SONS OF TUCSON is a family comedy about three brothers who hire a charming, wayward schemer to stand in as their father when their real one goes to prison. What begins as a business relationship evolves into something more complex and compelling: a family unlike any we’ve ever seen. The three brothers find their dad-for-hire, RON SNUFFKIN (Tyler Labine, “Reaper”), at the local sporting good store">
There you have it people. CW and FOX jump the shark this season with their shows!
