Hey, this might seem a bit random - it probably is. How are you liking Dundee Uni? I'm applying this year to do art after a bad start at uni last year in Edinburgh (the course sucked). So yeah, I was just wondering what you thought of it? What's the social life like? Also, are you in halls? Anything you have to say on the place would be ace :D
Personally I loooove Dundee. I'm in the cheapest, furthest away, most basic halls *drum roll* WIMBERLEY HOUSES. We were all a bit disheartened at first but it definitely has the best little community going on. =).
Social life is also awesome. Plenty of pubs and clubs to make your way around, everyone is really friendly, prices aren't too expensive if you frequent in the student type places. The union is cool and cheap haha.
As for the shopping side of things, it's got everything you need really. Not exactly a HUGE city centre but it does the trick. *nods*
Have you been in the Seabraes (I think that's what they're called?) ones - those are the ones I've got my eye on haha. Or that Belmont Tower place. I dunno, I'm tempted just to get a flat cos I've heard the halls are gross but I dunno if that means I'll miss out on a lot of the "university experience" and the social side of things :\
I know Dundee quite well, I live in Edinburgh but I have a weekend cottage and horses up in Perthshire which is only about 20 minutes along the road. It's part of the reason I wanna go to Dundee - they have a rather ace show jumping team haha. Probably not the reasons I should be choosing my university on, but nevermind!
