(ooc: We talked about a Jaden/Emily third for a loooong time, so here it is. ^.^)Grinning jack-o-lanterns and glowing luminaries littered the Great Hall. ooc: Oooooh, yay! ^.^

Jaden had been wandering throughout the castle on whim, letting his feet take him where they wanted, when he entered the Great Hall. The festive decor was rather inspiring this year, he had too admit, so he wandered around the room for a few moments, looking for a good angle from which to doodle.

Emily was in her own world when she drew. Everything else faded away, and all that was there was her sketchbook and pencil.

"Drawing?"

She jumped a little as she realized a boy was standing over her shoulder. Her first instinct was to cover her sketch, but he had already seen the jack-o-lantern that was being formed on her parchment.

"Oh-yes," Emily said, blushing. "Just...drawing."

That sounded so stupid...

Jaden offered a small apologetic smile, looking down slightly. He knew what it was like to get yanked out of his own little world when he was drawing, so he didn't blame her for her surprise. He hadn't really meant to startle her.

"Sorry...I'm bothering you, aren't I? Yeah, I'll just..." he awkwardly pointed back in the direction he'd come from and made a move to leave.

"Oh...no, it's quite alright," Emily said, her face burning even more crimson.

"Do you...do you draw?" She asked by way of conversation.
