Timothy knew Emily all too well. She was indeed at the lake, sitting by the water's edge, hugging her knees. Her sketchbook and a pencil lay discarded next to her. Emily was going to try to draw to take her mind off things, but she just couldn't.
Emily relaxed against him. She felt a little more comfortable now that he was there. She looked up at him before she spoke.
"Well, I found a memory of my mothers," Emily started slowly. "One that you can put in a Penseive. I looked at it the other day, and it was of me being adopted." She bit her lip, closing her eyes quickly. Don't cry, don't be so stupid...
"I mean, I always knew that I was a lot different from my family, I just never knew it was...that different." Emily said.

He made his way outside, hoping to find her in one of her favourite places. By the lake, maybe?

He spoke cautiously, sitting beside her and silently putting his arm around her waist.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he breathed, barely daring to speak in case he said the wrong thing.
