Summary: Sungmin gets paranoid that Kyuhyun is cheating on him with Zhou Mi.
Sungmin pouted as he stared at the laptop screen. Yet another video of a Super Junior M interview playing in front of him, his eyes followed Kyuhyun as he leaned against Zhou Mi. Sungmin was getting sick of it, every time he looked to see how Kyuhyun had been getting on in China, he was bombarded with videos of his boyfriend holding onto the tall Chinese male, talking and joking with him - pretty much as he did when he was home in Korea and Sungmin would have his whole attention. It was starting to make him paranoid, he knew he shouldn’t be but…he just couldn’t help it. Especially since Kyuhyun had promised he’d never do anything to hurt him. Sungmin sighed and closed the laptop, pushing it back into it’s place underneath his bed and flopped over onto his back, sighing heavily.
Kyuhyun had only been gone a month or so and it was killing Sungmin. He called whenever he had a spare moment but most of the time Kyuhyun either wouldn’t answer or he’d answer and the phone was passed along to everyone else then hung up before Sungmin could say ‘I love you’. Sungmin picked up his phone, flipping it open and typing a quick text to Kyuhyun before he dropped the pink phone onto the mattress and climbed off, padding through to the kitchen to make himself a snack. Once he’d done, he headed through and flopped onto the sofa beside Heechul, ignoring a complaint from the older male that Sungmin’s ramen smelt too strong. Sungmin stared at the television for a moment before he looked over at Heechul.
“Hyung…” Heechul sighed, rolling his head to one side to stare at the younger male.
“Yes Sungmin.” He answered, staring at him. Sungmin sighed and fidgeted a little, wringing his fingers together.
“Do you think…Kyu would ever cheat on me?” He asked softly, looking at the older. Heechul snorted and shook his head.
“Sungmin, Kyuhyun doesn’t think of anything other than video games, singing and you. He doesn’t have time for an affair.” Sungmin nodded, feeling a little better about it. But he couldn’t help but worry about how close Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi had gotten…even fans were constantly chanting for KyuMi and pushing for fan service from them. Sungmin knew it was a stage act but - that’s exactly how it had started with Kyuhyun. Just a few hugs and holding hands for the fans until Sungmin had grabbed Kyuhyun at one of the after-parties and kissed him. They’d woken up the next morning, naked and curled up together, both embarrassed but smiling at each other. Since then they’d started dating and becoming more serious, Kyuhyun and Sungmin had hardly spent any time apart. So when the Super Junior M group was formed, Sungmin was somewhat heart-broken at the thought of Kyuhyun being in a different country for months on end. The younger had promised to call often and keep in touch but, it hadn’t happened as planned.
“Hyung…” Sungmin pouted as he walked over to Leeteuk, the older member smiling at Sungmin.
“What’s wrong Minnie?” He put an arm around his shoulders, hugging Sungmin close.
“I think Kyu’s cheating on me.” He sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. Leeteuk blinked, and laughed a little.
“I don’t think he is Min, he’s just busy.”
“Yeah! But he’s always draped over that Zhou Mi.” Leeteuk laughed again and shook his head, ruffling Sungmin’s hair.
“You’re reading too much into this Minnie. Don’t worry about a thing.” Sungmin huffed, no matter how many people would tell him, he couldn’t help but shake the paranoia that Kyuhyun was seeing Zhou Mi behind his back.
After a few months, the other members were due to return from China. Sungmin made sure the bedroom was tidy and he looked his best to go and meet Kyuhyun. He’d show him what he’d been missing while he was in China doing god only knows what with Zhou Mi. All the way to the airport, everyone was chattering happily while Sungmin just kept playing over and over in his head what he’d do and say. He smiled lightly to himself, Eunhyuk poking his shoulder gently and telling him to stop daydreaming. Once they got to the airport, they managed to find their way to the right arrival gate to wait for the returning members. They were stood around for a good twenty minutes before they finally appeared. Donghae came bouncing out with a grin plastered over his face, tackling the nearest person to him in a hug as the others followed. Then Sungmin’s eyes found Kyuhyun, walking beside Zhou Mi, chattering in fast Chinese. Sungmin pouted as he realised what Zhou Mi looked like in real life. He was taller than Sungmin, thinner and had a brighter smile…No wonder Kyuhyun wanted him instead of Sungmin. He sighed heavily but forced the smile back onto his lips as Kyuhyun finally saw him, giving his usual shy smile and heading over to Sungmin, wrapping his arms around him in a gentle hug.
“I missed you.” He said softly, pulling back to look at Sungmin. The older simply smiled and nodded, his eyes wandering back to the tall Chinese male and how awkwardly he stood, watching Kyuhyun and Sungmin embracing.
“What’s wrong Min?” Kyuhyun asked, leaning his head to one side. Sungmin blinked and looked back at his boyfriend, giving a small shake of his head.
“Nothing. Let’s get back to the dorms.” He mumbled, pulling away from Kyuhyun. The magnae looked at Sungmin, scratching his head in confusion as he nodded for Zhou Mi and Henry to follow them out to the vans. As they all sat in their usual seat, Zhou Mi had ended up sitting beside Sungmin - as much as Sungmin hated it. Heechul kept demanding what his gifts where from them and teasing Siwon about his hair getting longer now.
Back at the dorms, they all gathered in the front room, talking about what happened in China or in Korea while they were away. Sungmin sighed softly, toying with the red bead bracelet that Kyuhyun had given him. He watched as Zhou Mi said something that was clearly a private joke between him and Kyuhyun, Sungmin pouting before he excused himself and went straight to his room, dropping onto his bed with his face in the pillow. Now he’d seen it up close, he was sure Kyuhyun was having an affair. He felt tears in his eyes, forcing his face hard against the pillow as though it’d stop them from spilling out. Sungmin just lay on his bed for a good twenty minutes before he heard the door click open and closed again. If it was Kyuhyun, he didn’t want to face him, he’d just feign being asleep. A few moments of silence passed before the bed shifted, signalling someone else had sat on it.
“I know you’re not asleep Min. You’re not snoring.” Sungmin scowled and turned over, glaring at Kyuhyun as best he could.
“I don’t snore.” He scoffed, sitting up and hugging his pillow to his chest.
“You do so. Anyway, what’s wrong? You’ve been acting weird since I got here.” Kyuhyun, frowned, crossing his legs as he sat on the bed in front of Sungmin. He shrugged, looking off to one side.
“You have Zhou Mi now, why do you need me anymore?” He said quietly, saying it out loud to Kyuhyun made it hurt even more. Kyuhyun stared at Sungmin for a moment before he burst out laughing.
“What?! You think I’m having an affair with Mimi?” Sungmin scowled at the nickname and the fact that Kyuhyun was laughing at him.
“Yes! It’s obvious, you two are always together, whispering and whatever…” Kyuhyun shook his head, almost falling backwards because he was laughing too hard.
“You’re such an idiot Lee Sungmin!” He snorted, shaking his head. He got up and grabbed Sungmin’s hand, tugging him off of the bed. “Come on, I want to show you something.” Sungmin reluctantly stood up, following the other male out of the room and along the hall to the spare room. Kyuhyun held a finger up to his lips as he pushed the door open a crack, pushing Sungmin to peer in. Inside the room, Zhou Mi was pressed against the wall, his hands underneath Heechul’s shirt as they were lost in a heated kiss. Sungmin gasped and jumped back, pulling the door closed again.
“The reason I was with Mimi so much was because he wanted to know how he could talk to Heechul, he’s had a crush on him for a while now.” Kyuhyun snorted, softly smacking Sungmin in the head. Sungmin felt like a fool…he’d accused Kyuhyun of cheating on him when all he was doing was helping Zhou Mi talk to the guy he had feelings for.
“I’m sorry Kyu.” He pouted, moving to wrap his arms tightly around Kyuhyun. The latter laughed softly and shook his head, tilting Sungmin’s face up to kiss his lips lightly.
“I love you Min, I promised I wouldn’t hurt you didn’t I?” Sungmin blushed softly, hiding his face against Kyuhyun’s chest.
“I know. I know. I’ll have more faith in future.” He nodded, looking up at Kyuhyun, smiling softly at him.
“I’d never cheat on you. Besides, Zhou Mi is far too tall and he’s too bony to cuddle.” He grinned as Sungmin laughed, taking his hand to head back to the front room, sitting beside Kyuhyun, finally smiling brightly as he was supposed to.
