Miss Timmy was eating well this morning. I thought she was doing better. This evening, she was worse than she was the other night. Her anus was badly swollen and extremely painful, and as she bent over to lick herself, she urinated all over the carpet

I'm so sorry. You did what you had to do, and you did it from a place of love. Don't second-guess yourself. I know you wouldn't make that decision lightly.

It hurts, but sometimes death comes as a kindness. :-(

i'm so sorry. ((hugs)) she's at peace and healthy now. you certainly aren't a tool. you are someone special who cares very much. timmy knew that. bless you. if only everyone who had a cat in their lives would be such a good friend to them as you are to yours. take care.

Thanks. I just heard back from my mother (who's back from her vacation in Colorado) and she estimates Timmy to have been around twenty years old. I had her for five years. Still, this is never an easy decision.
