(that part, the tittering followed by a Peter Fernandez 'Ohhhhh' doesn't make sense. I'm used to Japanese talk shows with the constant "ahhh" and "ma, ne" and "so des' " but not that Ohhhhhhhh! thing)
I hate to say it but I kinda hope they do that bit again. Desu.

I think the tittering and Ohhhh! was reference to the idiocy you see on Japanese talk shows. It might also be something of a new trend I haven't been following.
The Nat Geo channel just did a program on the Yakuza. While it was interesting to see how the gangster styles have changed in the past 20 years (they've internationalized their look), Nat Geo still mangles names and can lean toward the cheesy. (Did we really need the repeated reenactment video of one unfortunate gangster's yubitsume? Yeesh!)
