Fred looked down at herself again when Rupert said she was beautiful and that she was glowing. Raising her hand, she saw that he was right - there was a gentle glow coming from it. She wasn't sure how she had caused this to happen, but there it was.
She dropped her hand when Rupert stepped closer to her, watching him as he touched her wings. His fingers were gentle, and she could feel them as if he was caressing her actual skin. She took a deep breath, her eyes closing when he leaned forward to kiss her.
"I couldn't let you die," she told him softly when they parted and he thanked her for what she had done. Reaching up, she cupped his face. "I wasn't sure how I was going to stop him, but...looks like...Cordy was right. I'd figure out my new abilities as I went along. Wonder how I hide these though..."
She concentrated for a moment until she suddenly felt another pop, and when she looked over her shoulder, the wings were gone. She looked back at Rupert with a bashful smile. "Hope you still think I'm beautiful," she said softly before leaning up to kiss him agan. "I'm so glad that you're all right."
