I got into the Art Institute but I'm still $8300 short of taking full term classes. I have to do part time which means no insurance and it'll take me 4 years instead of 2 to get my associate. And my family won't help me at all to get a private loan to cover the difference

Congratulations on getting in!

Like Sarah, my best advice is to talk with the Office of Financial Aid. They get paid, and are trained, to help people like you finance your education, which typically includes helping you get loans and helping you locate scholarship opportunities.
