  1. The funniest thing you heard today.
Chris is always funny and making me laugh, but I can't remember anything specific. He, however, got a good chuckle out of finding one of my 'secret club' booklets I created as a kid, complete with a list of members (mostly family) and rules (really short, like 'listen to the boss' and 'I'm the boss'). I was 'boss' again for a little while today.

  2. If you could have a new talent what would you want?
Something artistic. Illustrator or fine art skills. Maybe graphic design.

  3. Who is your best friend but not your spouse?
We're not married so can I still count Chris? ;)

  4. What do you wish you had left unsaid?
So many things... but also nothing. I feel it's always best to be honest. My biggest problem is phrasing and getting my words out correctly.

  5. What was the first thing you ate or drank today?
I had some leftover Spanish Fried Rice for breakfast.

  6. Are you saving or spending?
    Saving, always.

  7. On a scale of 1-10 how clean is your house? (10 being the cleanest)
4 or 5? (For comparison, my mom's house would be in the negatives.) Our place is a disaster. We have our own hoarding tendencies that we struggle with, plus we still have a ton of stuff left behind by Chris' mom and brother. Also, stuff we're bringing in from my mom's house that we don't know what else to do with right now. We don't have much space...

  8. What is the last song you listened to?
I had my piano channel playing while reading earlier, if that counts. Lots of classical pieces but mostly scores from movies; the channel started with Dario Marianelli's score to the 2005 Pride & Prejudice. I feel like I'm an odd one, as I don't tend to sit and just listen to music.

  9. What relaxes you?
Right now, nonograms, also known as picross. Combat anxiety by doing something logical, I guess. It's calming to work on something with an achievable solution and come out with a picture in the end, so you feel like it has a creative element as well.

  10. What is the most valuable thing you own?
In consumer terms, I guess my laptop. In sentimental terms... either some of my mom's ceramics or my dad's dog tags.

  11. What did you find inspiring today?
Today wasn't a good day... I spent over 12 hours in bed and couldn't even convince myself to get up for food. Didn't watch anything. Didn't read anything. Only talked with Chris for a little bit when he got home from work. I finally motivated myself enough to broil some chicken for dinner... can I find that inspiring?

  12. Are you happy?
I have good days and bad days. Today was better than yesterday and I was in a much better mood, so I can say 'yes'.

  13. How much “me” time did you take today?
Today, none. However, I did feel like I got quite a lot accomplished at my mom's house and I got to sit and chat with a friend for some time while the boys played their game. Those feel better to my current mindset so they count as quality 'me' time.

  14. List three things you have faith in.
Faye doing something to make me laugh. The deliciousness of Ovaltine. My ability to get distracted at any given time.

  15. Who is the last person you said “I love you” to?
I believe my dad? (I'm so squicky with the exchange of those words. It's rare for me to say them.)

  16. Did you seize any opportunities?
I watched a Netflix movie before it was removed...

  17. Where did you go today?
Deep into my own head space. All day. Another one of those...

  18. What advice were you given?
A recipe for slow cooker chicken legs that made for a delicious dinner and is now going to be a regular request from Chris.

  19. Today was ________________________.
Calm. I enjoyed some reading and playing a video game, which I rarely do. Much needed!

  20. What are you glad you did today?
We watched The Magnificent Seven, which we really enjoyed, and went out for cheap but yummy wings. So, in summary, spend time with Chris.

  21. When was your last vacation? Where did you go?
This time last year I was packing to go to Florida to visit my (ex)stepmom, sister, and niece. It was a great trip. :)

  22. The greatest wisdom comes from _____________________.
    Experience.

  23. Who is your hero?
I've always looked up to my grandma. She died when I was 15 and I always felt like I could have learned a lot from her.

  24. Why?
She was headstrong and funny and kind but not gullible and she was creative without fear. She reupholstered and refinished her own furniture and even pinstriped her own walls. I want to be like her and often wonder if I already am, but don't give myself enough credit.

  25. If you could have read one person’s mind today, who would you choose?
Somebody interesting. Somebody that manages to get a lot done with a day... like Martha Stewart.

  26. What was the easiest thing about today?
Sitting with Roxie and playing with play-doh.

  27. Did you thank anyone today?
Yes. I thanked Chris for groceries, and having meals with me, and for watching a movie with me.

  28. Did you work hard today?
BWAHAHAHA*deep breath*HAHAHAHA! I had a bath. That is the only thing I managed.

  29. What was in your post office box today?
Some health insurance info and a bank statement.

  30. Today was a complete ______________________.
    Failure.

  31. What are you seeking?
    A great perhaps.
