We ignore the truth, trying to paint this perfect life...

You should've been there, B. Quite a ride...I woke up with a start, sitting upright in bed and breathing hard as I looked around my room. Eyes staring wildly at the white walls lit up by the bright mid-morning sun streaming through my windows. My dorm room. I wasn't on top of some building with some strange little blonde plunging a knife into my ( Read more... )

I had all this bloody free time now and no idea how to spend it. I could tell you how to translate ancient demon texts into numerous languages, or what breeding grounds a grothnar demon uses, but I can't decide how to best use my time.

Today happened to be an attempt at proper exercise. If I was going to remain on the hellmouth a now useless ex watcher I could at least find myself in better shape and perhaps remember how to best use a weapon. Too many times have I ended up unconscious on the floor of my flat.

As I entered my flat, sweaty and out of breath mind you, I noticed Faith standing there and she mentioned something about dougnuts...Oh how I longed for one of those now, I do hope she brought jelly filled. And here I was planning on getting into better shape. Fat chance!

"Hello Faith" I said as I shut the front door.

Just my luck. I actually come over here to check in on my watcher and where is he? Out running or...something. Why is he running? We don't really train like we used to back when I was in high school so it wasn't like he had to worry about me kicking his ass a lot anymore. Maybe it's a mid-life crisis. Yeah, definitely a mid-life crisis.

"Hey, I brought doughnuts." I repeated with a shrug as I walked into his kitchen and started pilfering through his fridge for something to drink. Finally I settled on water cause there wasn't anything else. Opening up a small bottle of it I took a sip before walking back into the living room.

"What were you doing?" And most importantly, why? Well, I guess it wasn't important, I was just morbidly curious.

I sighed as I pretended to stretch out my muscles. What it really was is I was simply attempting to catch my breath that had escaped me about two miles prior to returning to my flat. "I am exercising, some find it beneficial." perhaps that was a slight bit snippy, but she would survive.

"Is there something that needs research?" I ask as I wipe the sweat from my brow.
