Yes! I've been waiting for this, and it's every bit as amazing as I'd expected it to be. Lol, Webster is so clueless it's adorable, thank god Liebgott knows what he wants, or they'd be circling around each other for ever. Also, I love the last line (I love it when fics end with brilliant one-liners) I hope to read something from you again soon (also, can I friend you, please?)
The last line was the starting point for this fic; it sounded like something that would come out of Lieb's mouth, and then the rest of the story arrived bit by bit into my brain. :)
I think Lieb is definitely the kind of person who just goes after what he wants: there's no messing around with him, he just barrels his way through life. Web definitely needed some pushing in this, so it's a good job that Lieb is built the way he is.
I'm working on a modern AU at the moment, that will hopefully have three parts: one Winnix, one Webgott and one Speirs/Lipton, with lots of other characters mixed in the background. :) I'm not sure how long it'll take but hopefully it'll get there!
Of course you can friend me, in fact I would be honoured. ♥
The last line was the inspiration for the entire fic; it's so Joe, don't you think? YES! I can see Joe saying that to Webster... it's so very him, absolutely :P
Haha, I certainly do love him for it! I think violence is his main way of showing affection, but Web can take it all and give more back, so that's why these two are so well matched.
Thank you! I wanted to extend it into a sex scene, but, never having written one before, I was pretty nervous, so this felt like a natural place to stop for me.
I am, however, working on a three part AU that will feature a Webster/Liebgott section, which will HOPEFULLY (muse permitting) include some sex, so keep watching out for that. :)
Joe was still smiling wolfishly, fingers hooked in his belt loops, and David could feel a blush creep over his skin, making it feel too hot and too tight.
I could really imagine this clearly in my mind. Great story!
Random, off topic point: your icon. HNNNNNG. You don't even have to manip those two, they do all the work for you!
Thank you! I only really started started really noticing Lieb when Web came back in "The Last Patrol", so I didn't have as much background to work with as I did for Winnix, who are so canon it hurts. ;) I'm glad that image felt right to you!
As mentioned above, I am currently working on a three part AU, so although I don't know when it'll be finished, you should definitely watch out for it. /end shameless self promotion. :P
What kind of AU? I'm honestly not generally an AU fan. It's just my personal preference to stay very close to canon both in reading and writing. In this fandom I've noticed a plethora of modern AUs and some with magic, and I'm sure they're wonderfully written, but there are certain leaps my mind can't take. I'm not big on mixing genres.
But that's just me -- I know many people love AUs! And once in a blue moon one will work for me, so never say never. :)
It is so canon. So, so canon. I actually had to keep pausing the DVD during "Points" because I kept dissolving into a big pile of mush at their epic canon-ness.
I have wanted to write an AU for ages, ever since I was a part of the Glee fandom, and I finally had an idea I thought I could work with the other morning. :) Mine is a modern AU, I'm afraid; it's set at Harry and Kitty's wedding reception, and it will feature dance floor fights, angry sex and bickering - and that's just the Webgott! There will also be some Winnix (because.. I don't even need a reason, frankly, I could write Winnix into anything) and some Speirs/Lipton, muse permitting.
If you ever fancied reading an AU, I would highly recommend profcricket's Roman AU "The Meanest, Toughest Sonofabitch", featuring Speirs/Lipton and Winnix. It is mindblowingly awesome.
As I've stated above, the last line was the first part of the fic that came to me. It just struck me as being so very Lieb, and I knew then that I had to work with it. :)

That last line just about killed me. Nnnnngh. (That means I liked it, by the way.)
