Ok, this is a record. Three times in one day. I just found out that Ruth's step father (whom I am very fond of) had a stroke yesterday and could quite possibly have a brain tumor. I want to go to sleep and not wake up for a long time.

Yes, this is a very unfortunate event, but all you can do for him, is pray and wish everything goes well, and he turns out fine. I'm sure he'll be alright. Just be there for Ruth and him as well, that is the most you can do. All you need to do is look on the brightside of things, and try to think of the most positive way of dealing with it. Sometimes that is the best thing you can do.
