A week and some days after the whole situation with his brother-in-law and finally Maikeru had his skateboard back. His mother had talked his strict father to let it go, while his dad was kind enough to give back the skateboard, his drums were another story. It wasn't a stick he broke this timw, those were manageable, it was the freaking bass ( Read more... )

Neha headed toward Maikeru after hearing him call out something about a band. A few people stared and pointed at her, almost looking like they were pointing at Maikeru as she was walking down the street from behind him. Her purple and pink sari was leading to her having a lot of attention from the crowd, simply by being so different.

She stepped in front of Maikeru and turned to face him, giving him a smile that lit up her face and invited him to smile in return. It was the type of smile that was simply infectious and full of life.

"Hello. May I ask what those fliers are for?" she asked, kind of bouncing on her feet a bit to keep moving and thus stay warm. Though she was wearing her warmest sari and the proper wraps for colder weather to go with it, she was still freezing. Japan was much colder than her native India and she's yet to find her jeans and coats in the frenzy of unpacking.

Maikeru eyed her clothes curiously, it was something that Jiro possibly could wear. "Oh they are for my band. Did you want one?" he asked holding one out to her.

Ai skipped between her mother and father as they walked. They were on their way to a hardware-like store that sold paint, and would hopefully be able to go even deeper into the city to do some small christmas shopping. A loud voice and flash of vibrant color, however, caught Ai's attention. She came to a stop, looking for the source.

"...the great band in rising, Sanity's Requiem," a boy was advertising, a stack of flyers in his hands. His hair was longer and dark, and looked very good on him. Ai wondered what type of music the band played, and even more, if the boy was also in the band.

Ai watched as a girl with long, rich hair and draped in colorful cloth began to interact with the boy. Ai stared in awe at the beautiful girl and her foreign style. The poor girl looked cold, but that didn't seem to hinder her pretty appearance.

"I'll be right back," she informed her parents, and took off walking over to the two.

"What kind of music?" Ai asked with a smile as she approached the attrative pair, her eyes shining brightly.

Maikeru quickly turned from the girl in colorful clothes to look at a girl with equally colorful hair.

"We are more of a rock band, more soft than hard but not pop-ish. No synthesizer." he teased thinking of a way to describe them but not being cliche and saying you couldn't really label their band. Even if he found it hard to do so himself.

"Whoa~, really? That's so cool," Ai commented in awe. "Can I have one of those flyers? I would totally come and see your band," she smiled widely with excitement. "Oh, I mean...are you in the band, too?" Ai asked, feeling silly for so quickly assuming he was. 'He certainly looks like he could be in a band,' Ai thought silently.

Maikeru laughed as he handed her a flier. "Yeah but I am just the drummer." he answered used to being in the background. "If you want to see our show that would be great but we don't have the date set up because of me and..personal issues but I can give you a text?" he offered.

"We have this system where we text our loyal fans times and locations and we don't give out your number to anyone. We also won't call you or nothing like that." Maikeru was trying to stomp any thoughts she might have had of him possibly being a creep.
