Can I use a picture of his chair without him in it, as long as the icon is clearly about him?

Sorry I took so long to reply to this question!

I would say you *can* do that with the theme (comics) challenge. For the regular (movie) challenge, you can only use the images provided.

I'm afraid your second icon can't be used. Different icons cannot be cropped the same/made from the same base.
