Semana Santa in Sevilla

I urgently have some catching up to do with my f-list, but I have a perfectly good reason why I'm behind on commenting. I was on holiday. I stayed for five days in Seville and for two in Madrid and in both cities I had an amazing time. Having breakfast on the rooftop terrace of my hostel, strolling around in the gardens of the Reales Alcazares, ( Read more... )

Question: Is Madrid a nice place to visit. My sister keeps bugging me idea on where to go for a holiday, and I'm thinking Madrid, since she's been to Barcelona.

Anyway, I'm glad the weather has been treating you right. Today was a marvelous day weather wise, shame I was cooped inside cleaning and doing my dissertation.

I like Madrid a lot. It's very big but it has awesome museums to visit, nice squares to sit and people-watch, lots of shops, good tapas bars, beautifull big parks and so on. I think I like Madrid more than Barcelona. If you have more time, Sevilla and Salamanca are also absolute highlights for me, but I always enjoy Madrid. The weather has to be good though. We had a week of sun over here, but now it's started raining again. Dude, you have to enjoy the weather when it's not sucky! Cleaning can wait for rainy days :)

Thanks Laila! Vacations are always nice, aren't they? Especially when there's sun. I think my holidays wouldn't have been so nice with rain and coldness. Right now I have no voice because I had to raise my voice a lot at the children this week and I went out and the smoke killed it. Booh!

*hugs* Thanks and see you later girl x

Glad you had a good time. Sometimes it can be really unexpectedly fun doing stuff on your own.

And yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY : )

Yeah, apparently so. I also went on holiday on my own four years ago but that wasn't anything special. A hotel vacation, I never met anyone new. I think I have more travel experience now so I know what to do to enjoy myself.

Thanks! I had a nice and quiet day in the sun. The heavy partying I will postpone till I'm at a party I like, then I will claim that party as my own :)
