I had an awesome festival day yesterday. I went to Rock Werchter with a friend and her sister who's dating a band member and their friends. (I know, I go up 10 points in your cool-o-meter right now). It was really hot, almost too hot to be standing for hours in a field surrounded by thousands of people watching a stage and having to clap your hands ( Read more... )

I think about 90% of my flist adore 30 Seconds to Mars, I listened to one song, and wasn't my thing. That mohawk is bad :(

Yes, his hair really is bad! I don't adore 30STM but they have some songs I enjoy. Especially the old songs. But when he came out on stage, we all had to blink twice. That isn't rockstar, that is David Beckham-wannabe. Nothing 'rock' about it.

Yo glad Green Day 'brung it' Its cool when a band can just have fun instead of trying really hard to be like 'cool' and 'rock' (side eyes at Jared Leto, yes I'm talking about you boy, stop trying so hard).

Which band you got an in with then, do tell!?

I agree! Green day likes to entertain but they still play their songs like they should.

Hahaha, it's a local band with their debut-EP out, but no fame or airplay or whatever. Just one of the many bands that 'a friend of a friend' plays in. They're called Vienna and they sound a bit like Paramore. I like the music.
