Yossi and Jagger in Iquitos

I found a toad in my room this morning. He was sitting in a corner just watching me. Trust me when I say it's not the nicest thing to wake up to. After a few minutes of silently freaking out , I broomed him out of the room. I don't care if he was my prince charming in disguise, I just won't allow toads in my room.

So I'm allright. I arrived on ( Read more... )

I am so glad you arrived safely ♥! We tend to have toads in Kashmir too, loads of them, and they have teeth. LOL.

Me too :) I still owe you an email but that might take a while longer, sorry. Toads with teeth, euw, what the hell? There's this mini toad that lives in my shower, don't make me scared now! I'm glad the ramadan has ended for you. How's the jobsearch going?

Do Frogs Have Teeth?. It's so strange. LOL. Toads are pretty small though, I guess I'm use to lizards and all that jazz, when I head out East. My sister was bit by a scorpion when she was on holiday. I thought you'd be use to stuff like that after Africa? ;]

Nowhere, I'm applying to a Mental Health/Alcohol Addiction place which looks pretty good, as a support worker. Deadline is on Oct. 1 so I'm just reading through the application and filling it out. I'm enjoying the lazy times, but I'd like to start working soon.

The animals in Africa were different I tell ya. Big innocent spiders and mouses were our pets over there, now it's toads and ants and lizards and mosquitos and rats. Joy. At least no scorpions :)

Support worker in an AA place seems interesting! I understand that after a while you get the urge to start working. I don't feel good at the end of a day when I haven't done Some Work. It makes me feel lost. Luckily I found a way to fill in all my hours over here. The days fly by...

So I thought I was. Untill it turns out I got toads mixed up with frogs. I would be pleased, but given the fact not a single frog is to be found in the area, the outcome is pretty much the same :) Where you at now? Still in Spain or already in Poland?

Already in Poland and sick thanks to the fucking weather. Well, that and the paintball game I went to, probably, but that's beside the point. It sucks, that's all you need to know. How's Peru? :D

Man, I kept hoping you would find something decent in Spain so you could stay there. Too bad! At least you can have paintball games now. That's an upside. I was sick for some days as well, fever and everything but luckily that went away on its own. Are you better by now?

Peru's great. It's hard answering a question like that, I always get them from friends as well. I have a blog where I write lots of stuff about Peru but it's in Dutch so my Spanish or English friends can't read it. I'm enjoying life here. I spend lots of time in the children's home since I'm living there but in the weekends I explore the "outside world". It's nice, I love joking around with the kids and there's lots for me to do here teaching-wise. Won't get bored then :) Hey, you can always join me! Room enough! And the food and living is free. That would be great if you don't have any other plans and still have a 1000 euro's left for the plane ticket...

I'm pretty sure your prince charming should be a frog not a toad so don't worry too much about chucking out that imposter! (Glad you made it all the way there w/ no drama!)

Yeah, I was actually quite suprised when I landed in Iquitos without any drama. I thought: no plane delays, no luggage lost, no camera stolen, no emotional crisis, man this is going way too smooth! I'm still waiting for the bomb to drop...

And thankgod it's supposed to be a frog. Because toads are really really ugly!
