i wonder what it would be like if Nothingface would get back together. would it go over well? or would it crash and burn because of this retarded "scene" movement happening in music right now

Would it go over well? Eh, yes and no. I think if they really got back into the mainstream and touring, fans of old and people impressed by their live set would be quite pleased.
However, their difficulty now would be getting signed/re-signed. Their music wouldn't be the hot seller nowadays, and that's what these labels want most. I think in the end, I think they'd be passed up by another Atreyu cover band.
And at best, they'd be likely to get signed under the condition they work with a producer that makes their entire CD something like
Nothingface - "The Ether Transgression"
0) Generic Intro Song 1) Ether Pt. 1 2) Ether Pt. 2 3) Ether Pt. 3
and so forth. (not that I didn't like "Ether")
They'd have to get lucky and get signed by a major metal-related label, which unless the name of it is "Roadrunner", usually means low exposure.
