1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

HIBARI KYOUYA. So my affair with the series Katekyo Hitman Reborn started around September 2007. I started with the anime, but I got impatient waiting for episodes to be subbed so I started marathoning the manga and I have never looked back since (the art's better anyway). Admittedly, the plot is sort of stuck on a downward spiral of increasing badness, but. Hibari keeps me in it (and Dino. and the two of them, together-- I mean). Basically, Hibari Kyouya is the most kickass juvenile delinquent in all of Namimori and he has all the other thugs and delinquents under his direct command. You'd think he'd be this big Manly Man, but is he Not. Yes, he can dismember you in a blink of an eye, with ease and much joy and for no reason at all, but at the same time, he's so pretty. And he grows up to be even prettier. And he's such a WTF character. He's like this invincible, insane, homocidal dictator, but he likes catnaps and small animals (i.e. cute things >_>). He lets this tiny yellow fluffball of a bird follow him around and sleep in his hair, and he even trained it to sing his school's anthem (he's a juvenile delinquent who loves his school, go figure). So, in conclusion. He's dangerous and unpredictable. DO YOU KNOW HIS RULES.

CLOUD AND ZACK, CLOUD AND ZACK, THEY NEED NO INTRODUCTION. So I love Cloud a lot. And I love Zack a lot. And I love their friendship-- "we're friends, right?" And they are both so tragic. But they used to be happy, pre-Sephiroth-going-batshit-crazy and pre-Mako-experimentation, and since I like to see them happy, I chose this icon. It's a happy, pre-Sephiroth-going-batshit-crazy and pre-Mako-experimentation icon. Most notably, Zack is still alive. Also, I like them in suits. &hearts

THE MEDITERRANEAN COOL KIDS CLUB consists of, from left to right, the anthropomorphic personifications Egypt, Greece and Turkey. It's fanart of the webcomic Hetalia, which personifies countries so that world events are more LOL than ever. Turkey and Greece, of course, do not get along at all and frequently come to fisticuffs, and Egypt is sort of. Just there to look mysterious and probably secretly mock the both of them. They are a very dynamic trio.

SEMAZEN/WHIRLING DERVISHES from the movie, "The Fall." The shape of the hat is wrong, and the color is supposed to be brown, not blue, but artistic license and all, I guess. It was still one of my absolute favorite scenes, so I screencapped it and made it into an icon. I think the real dance (the Sema) is beautiful too, how they spin with the right palm facing the sky, to receive blessings from above, and the left palm facing the ground, to convey these blessings to earth. I first learned of them on a travel program about Turkey, and I got all ;~; So, yes. This.

SUN CE. He was real! He founded Wu in the Southlands of China after his father's death when he was still 16/17, hence earning him the nickname "the Little Conqueror." This was during the Three Kingdoms era in China, so there was a lot of contention going around at the time. The picture is from the game Dynasty Warriors, which is based on the novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I liked his character in history, the novel, and the game because he's really charismatic and happy-go-lucky, but at the same time, he was also Very Serious Bizness. He has a beautiful bromance with his strategist Zhou Yu and he paved the way for his younger brother, Sun Quan, to become the first emperor of Wu. Sun Ce was assasinated when he was 25, and some (historically inaccurate but very enthralling) sources say that he was cursed by a sorcerer and hallucinated a lot before he died. It was very tragic.

CHINA. Another country anthropomorphically personified in Hetalia. Ethnic ties aside, he's one of my favorite characters because he's like the uncool older brother of all the Asian nations, in real life and in Hetalia. Which is a little tragic, but he keeps on keeping on! What really endeared him to me in the end was a fanmade strip of the Sino-Japanese Wars, which was full of tragedy and more tragedy. While I don't completely agree with Hetalia's characterization of China (he should be more manly! He's communist, for crying out loud!), he's still really LULzy and A+.
