Lavender lay in the bed that she often shared with Oliver, curled up into a ball. She had the blankets brought up to her chin, her eyes staring out blankly at the wall. Oliver wasn’t there, and her body was aching for him. Not only was it thundering outside, which frightened her since she was young, but she wanted someone here beside her. To latch on to her, hold her when her body shook as the thunder struck.
She shut her eyes tightly, who was she to expect Oliver to show up? She was nothing to him. Just a quick shag or an easy lay, yet she wanted so much more from him, but he didn’t seem to want her. And plus, he was always away for Quidditch, what kind of good relationship is that? Though she had heard, distance makes the heart grow fonder.
She could feel her eyes tearing up, just thinking about him. They had been casually dating for a year now, but nothing was official. However much she hated that she didn’t want to bring it up. Lying in this bed and hearing the thunder reminded her so much of Oliver. He was there with her one moment and they were loud and booming. But he was gone the next, without a trace, only to return shortly after, but it was never a sure fact.
