***Procrastinate!***I guess it's that time of year again.. so as part of my attempt to do as much procrastinating as possible now so I can study more tomorrow, I'll do some LJ writing.. First I guess there's the obligatory exam TT update

I was thinking about what it means when I say that I love my friends. Discussing it with a friend last week:

Yes, it sounds soppy, but even though that was said with my crazy 4am brain, it totally still stands.

i didnt take into account of maintaining a positive image.. me being me i was just thinking people pointing out negatives and us having to dodge them. thanks for being the light.

don't say things like you're still young.. dont make me feel so old. there's no like in depth age of wisdom in my posts!! >__< lol but it's like, the thought i was going for was how do you define a close friend.. mmm and like, how do you let your close friends know they're close to you? by being their? sharing your heart as tara says above.. hehe i think it takes a great tragedy to know your true friends. everyone is happy to be around when you're happy.. but only those who are truly close can be with you through your consistent lows. i think what defines that further is when they're a low too.. but they'll still be there for you because they put you first. it'

You are older though. ;) But in any case I think that I'm not just younger chronologically, but in experience and exposure. :p I do think that a close friend will be someone who (generally) sticks with you (one way or another) through both the good and the bad times; someone you can still stay close with after a rift between each other, by managing to patch things up. I guess the last one is probably a better definition for not just a close friend, but a great friend. I think that if I'm still friends with someone after a long bout of obstacles, I would consider that person a great, close friend.

I guess the closer I am to a person, the more things about myself I indulge to them, or the more I'm there for them, if they need me, and that I'll lend that extra helping hand. Or so I hope. Haha, maybe I'll properly sort this out after exams. :p

lol you can stop the innocence act zing!! i know your deep dark secrets.. hahaha you dont need to "sort out" your friends.. it's like, that's just the way it is.. and when you hit those rough patches you'll find out.

Lol the rumours and gossip discussion.. quite frustrating when it's not true.. I agree. I think some things have a 'ring of truth' to it, some it's just really people testing from like you said something small to see whether there is the 'ring of truth' to it. Like they say it and watch for your reaction haha, how evil and dodgy :D

lol evil and dodgy yes.. but I can understand that. It's funny.. so that's fine, but when you start hearing it from other people. It gets annoying. This goes way beyond gossip going around a group.. it's more a case of lots of unrelated people are saying it. lol it's not even gossip.. hahaha but anyways.. doesnt matter.

I get what you mean about some people meaning it more. To some extent too a joke can prove insightful to some and they might go.. oh yeah, I can see that. That's what will shit me..

Glad you took the jump.. trust is something people should do more of ^^;
