Gibb: *Gibb walks out of the bathroom with an over sized T-shirt on and walks back into the bedroom*
Tara: *Tara is turning down the blankets on the bed*
Gibb: *pulling a little at the shirt* Thanks for letting me borrow this.
Tara: *grins down at the little girl* You're welcome. Did you brush your teeth too?
Gibb: *nods her head and smiles, showing her teeth*
Tara: Good girl. *smiles warmly* Now come get in bed. It's been a long day and you've gotta get some sleep.
Gibb: *sheepishly moves on the floor a little* I don't know if I can.
Tara: *sits down on the bed, reaching out to pull Gibb up into her lap* How come sweetie?
Gibb: *she shallows hard* I miss my mom. *puts a loose strand of hair behind her ear* She always helped me sleep.
Tara: I know you do. *sympathetic smile* What kind of stuff did she do to help you go to sleep? I mean, I know I'm not your mom, but I'll do my best to help. *grins*
Gibb: *gives Tara a small shrug* I dunno. Sometime I would have a bad dream a-and she'd stay with me. *in a soft voice* I don't like being alone.
Tara: I won't go anywhere. I'll stay right here with you. *looks down at Gibb and smiles* How's that sound?
Gibb: *smiles and hugs Tara, curling up in her arms*
Tara: *smiles warmly, hugging her back* I'll get ya tucked in, okay? *stands up, still holding Gibb in her arms, she turns and puts her into the bed, pulling the covers up over her*
Gibb: *grabs a hold of the covers and curls into a small ball*
Tara: Do you need anything? *smiles, leaning over, she brushes Gibb's hair out of her face*
Gibb: *shakes her head and smiles* You're really nice to me. *looking at Tara more carefully* Why?
Tara: Why wouldn't I be? *smiles softly*
Gibb: B-because. You don't know me. M-most strangers wouldn't care about a little kid they don’t know.
Tara: *sitting down on the side of the bed* Well, I'm not most strangers. And, technically, um, I'm not a stranger. *grins* Plus, I love kids. Maybe one day, I'll have one of my own.
Gibb: *smiles* You'd make a good mom.
Tara: *blushes and smiles softly* Thank you. You know, you're a pretty smart little girl. *stands up* You should try and get you some sleep though. It's getting late. Any more rituals your mom does to make sure you have a good sleep?
Gibb: *yawns, shaking her head softly* I can try to sleep.
Tara: You want me to lay down with you? Or are you okay?
Gibb: *looks around at the empty bed then back to Tara* You wouldn't mind?
Tara: Not at all. *moves over to the other side of the bed, laying down on top of the covers*
Gibb: *warms up to Tara and smiles*
Tara: And one more thing Miss Gibb. *looks at her mock sternly*
Gibb: *looks up* What?
Tara: *looks at her seriously* No more sneaking off. I know its fun to explore and especially to eat lots of candy and watch cartoons with other kids, but it made me worry. I don't want anything to happen to you. So, from now on, I want you to ask me before you go wandering off. Okay? *smiles*
Gibb: *her eyes widen* H-how did you know about that?
Tara: *winks and grins* I just know.
Gibb: *bites her lower lip* I'm sorry.
Tara: I'm not angry at you. I just worry. *smiles at her softly*
Gibb: Won’t happen again. *smiles* Promise.
Tara: Okay then. *grins* See I'm not hard to get along with.
Gibb: *giggles lightly* Yeah, I like you.
Tara: I'm glad. *grins* I like you too. You're a pretty cool kid. Now, try and get some sleep. I'll lay here with you. Okay?
Gibb: *yawns* G'night Tara. *snuggles up closer and closes her eys*
Tara: Goodnight Gibb. *leans down and kisses the young girl on the top of the head* Sweet dreams little one.
Gibb: *smiles to herself and slowly falls asleep*
Tara: *yawns, feels herself drifting off as well*
