I know exactly how you feel. When my b/f left me for someone new, I wanted die. My heart was so painful, I could not function. During the course of any relationship everyone has their ups and downs. In our relationship I suppose you could say we failed each other. In a mature relationship, these ups and downs are the glue that bond you together and make you stronger. We let our ill-meaning friends interfere in our love. They influenced us negatively; did not want to see us happy. My x-b/f is not one with a strong backbone and he let these people influence him. Because of his lack of maturity, he did not protect us from the cruel antics of others. I can not fight mean people, it is not in my character. All said, it's been several years and I have a wonderful relationship with a man who I feel so incredibly comfortable and safe with.
