My beef with Alexandra Adornetto

Dec 31, 2010 12:18

Alexandra Adornetto is the arrogant bitch who wrote Halo, yet another anti-feminist, abusive relationship glorifying piece of shit to hit the planet. Some time ago she wrote an article, titled 'Why teenage boys suck more than vampires', and you can find the article here: http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/society-and-culture/why-teenage-boys-suck-more-Read more... )

I think this is what gives feminists a bad name - when everyone thinks they hate men. When in fact they just want equal rights, it's not about 'all mens are evillzzzzz'.

I am very much a feminist on the inside, why I don't like it when every feminist gets laughed or cursed at. It's only because some girls use it, without knowing what it means.

I wish we could just accept what makes us the same instead of different all the time. It's not about just what sex you're, it's about what kind of person you're.

You can't group all men and woman together- as if they don't count as a single person. Which I guess from what you're saying, is what this lady did.

Unfortunately some feminists do behave like women are greater than men and that men are just stinky poos. That's not feminism, that's sexism.

You're absolutely right, it would be better if we look at what makes us the same instead of different. But unfortunately the majority of today's society does not see it that way.

That is precisely what this stupid woman did. She apparently thinks it's okay to judge all of mankind based on a small percentage. And apparently she thinks she can further justify this by claiming a fictional character is better than real people.

Well said! While she does try to say how better "Edward" is in the article, she forgets his stalking tendencies. And teenage boys are just teenage boys, pretty much like teenage girls. We're still figuring stuff out. And, who cares about perfection anyway?

Honestly, before I read this I had no idea who Alexandra Adornetto was. I'm not sure if I should feel bad, or not. . .

Thank you very much =D
She forgets his overall control-freak-making-sure-bella-remains-his-bitch tendencies. Edward refuses to acknowledge Bella as an equal. What kind of person considers this to be romantic? It's sad.

You're right, we are still figuring stuff out. Andornetto claims that teenage boys only have growing up to do while teenage girls have to wait. No, teenage girls have just as much growing up to do as teenage boys in every regard whether it's love or life in general.

DON'T TALKZ ABOUT MA EDDIE POO LIKE DAT! UR JUS JEULOS OF BELLA!

HE'S PERFECT AN SOO HAWTTTTTTTTTTT!

You know i'm suprised she never mentioned Jacob. He is the only character that ages like a teenager/human in it, someone who is not actually perfect.

I'm still wondering why this girl is published. It's been a while since I logged on to LJ. I'll leave my opinion of GR. Loving your avatar btw, is it from a Tale of Two Sisters?
