The first week of January, all three of us took turns getting incredibly sick. When it was Brian's turn to be ill, Luke and I went to the supermarket to get him ginger ale, and got into a car accident. The car was totaled. Since the accident, we've seen a different car run the red light practically every time we've been at that intersection, so now

Roasting is DEFINITELY the way to go with beets.. They were seriously the last vegetable I learned to like. (I used to live near a Polish restaurant and they finally made them in a preparations delicious enough that I came to appreciate them. I think they boiled them and then shredded them and added sour cream, but I haven't dared try that myself yet.)
