Having had awkward dreams last night, Hermione was in the best of moods. Hearing a much too cheerful "Morning" directed at her she turned to wince at whoever had said it.
"Morning, why are you so chipper?" She ground out, taking in the boys appearance and pile of books in his arms.
"I'm not," Timothy admitted, his somewhat dishevelled appearence also arguing this fact for him. Hermione didn't look so great today, either, anyone could tell that.
"How're you?" he asked politely, out of habit more than anything else.
Hermione attempted to answer but got interrupted by a yawn, "I'm....sleep deprived." She rubbed her eyes as she tried to wake up just a bit more. Finally able to focus a bit she narrowed her eyes at his rumpled clothes and hair. "What's wrong?" she asked, actual concern coloring her voice.
"Can't work," Timothy admitted. "Outside's too warm, inside is too stuffy, common room's too noisy, library's too quiet," he listed. Had he a free hand he would have counted the possibilities off on his fingers but since he didn't he tried to shrug a little.
"Exams are just too close," he ended, giving Hermione a half-smile.

"Hello to you too," Padma Patil replied, recognizing the boy form her house. "You're Montgomery right?" she asked, turning around and walking backwards away from him since he was still walking the other way as well.
"Timothy Montgomery," Timothy confirmed politely, giving her a curteous little nod.
"And you would be Miss. Patil, of the Ravenclaw sort?" he checked quickly. He'd spoken with Parvati before but never really Padma so he was pretty certain, but he just wanted to make sure he was right instead of making assumptions.
