Okay, here's my side. I'm completely disgusted with certain people.

I agree with Holly. I can see both sides of this issue (though I don't think that you deserved the punishment you got... or, really, any punishment at all, but whatever, that's irrelevant right now). I just want everyone to stop fighting. This is one little issue, and it makes me so sad that it can tear up years worth of friendships between our community. I know I haven't been in merfle regularly for a while, but if there's anything I know about us, it's that we're strong people. And we stick together. And I've seen huge fights, hundreds of them, but nothing has ever pulled us so apart like this. And that just makes me sad ( ... )

I was just upset to see what you thought of me and how you jumped so quickly to the wrong conclusion.

But okay you've apologised, kiss and make up?

I also don't see what is wrong with this..which is why I was sticking up for you guys in my own way earlier. :)

Helen I definately don't think you should be punished. HOWEVER:

A) You shouldn't have taken this to Jas really. She is a forum admin. You should have taken this to someone on the site, who would handle recognition for site staff. Like werepup or Kym.

B) Jas continually asked for suggestions from you and you had none so I don't know what you really expected her to do. Aside from a custom title the only thing I can think of is a listing of site staff on the forum which is just redundant as there is already a list on the main site. Perhaps a link to the site staff listing on the forum so that members who frequent the forums over the main site can find the list easier?

I understand what you are saying and where you are coming from, but the problem lies with the main site and not with Jas and the admins on the forum. Unless they do something for the forum whats the point.

Just an example:Im a mod but who on the site staff knows who I am? Probably not many. This is because I don't contribute to the site.

Did you ever once think of maybe discussing your problems about your punishment with me/us or were you just planning on complaining to everyone else? Did you ever think that it was a very heated situation and that we're only human? Everyone makes mistakes. This weekend has been hell. If you thought you were unfairly treated, you should have brought it up. Who knows what could have come of that. Out of all the time you've known me, this one time things go wrong and suddenly I'm uncaring and I won't listen to you? I know you're upset, but seriously, that's unfair. If you had a problem and could prove your point, you should have said something ( ... )

Yes, I was (and still am) going to discuss this with you but yesterday, I was still so angry at the whole situation, I would have said something I'd regret. Which is why I left the chat at that current point.

When I saw the chat log of people assuming I'd attacked you over stars and basically not being the friends I thought they were, I got even angried and made this entry to clear my name and show people that I was not out of order and did not attack you in anyway shape or not.

I won't have my friends thinking badly of me through rumours and generalisation. I needed to have my say and get my side of the story out.

You told us to say what we said instead of the actions taken against us so I did. I'm sick of the secrecy involved in this issue and I thought it was time for a little honesty.

So you know, things were only kept quiet on our part out of respect for those involved. When someone gets seriously modded on the forums, it's not our position to spread around what happened. You are free to say whatever you want, however. There are no bars on you.

All of what you said is totally understandable as well. I appreciate you posting the chat.
