i personally wouldn't do it to my child but i wouldn't condemn someone else for choosing to do it either! i mean..there are loads of reasons for and against doing it and i think you've just gotta go with what you feel is right. i think i feel so strongly against it because i know a fully grown man who is still devastated over the fact that he has no foreskin!! i always think that dicks look much better cut and i guess it's more hygenic but since i'm never going to be thinking of my child in that way..i just can't get past the fact that if someone chopped a bit of my lady area away without good reason or my consent i'd be so angry! :P xx

i totally get where your coming from. if someone cut me, id be pissed as shit. but for the fact that if someone cut me, it would be for a dumb ass reason, like "they dont like the way it looked". i'm doing it so he doesnt get teased, and im also doing it for hygenic reasons. because with that skin there, it can cause infections, not only in him, but in the girl/guy he chooses to have sex with. BLAH, its such a tough call. in the end it is my desicion, and it sucks, because i know ppl will be mad at me, and tell me im a "horrible mother" for doing so.

i have a little girl, so that doesnt really count....but i AM a guy and i AM circumsized!

go for the circumcision. its supposed to be much more sanitary, better for sex (for her AND him), and......well, uncircumsized ones look funny...lol

but seriously. im all about the circumcision.

Thanks brandon. you arent the first guy i talked to today to tell me to do it, but, i value your opinion greatly, because of the fact, that you are the only male i've talked to, that is actually a parent. there are some things that have to be done for your child. it will hurt them, but you know its for the better. i've been called cold hearted because i wanted to do this for my son. its a lot easier to get it done now, then have to deal with dr's bills for future infections. those infections can also be passed to his partners. I am all about this, and usually i dont let ppls thoughts concern me, especially when it comes to my son, but i dont want people to think im a horrible mother, for WANTING this done, ya know? its not that its "naturaL" or i "dont want it to look weird" its just that, even if no one else sees it, he could feel self concious about it. and feel horrible about his apperance, and i dont want him to have health issues. in the long run, im looking out for his best intrest, and it just bothers me, that some ppl view me ( ... )

naw, man. i dont know why any one would think your horrible for it...as a matter of fact, damn near EVERY guy i know is circumsized...and its not like its a torturous thing to get it done. a baby boy wont remeber it or anything....except when he looks down and is happy that his looks like all the other boys'...heh.

i have no kids but am a guy, and as a guy. he will get made fun of by everyone that ever sees it. and as a teenager that will hurt way more than just having it don't now.

and trust me, he will never remember it being done.

Im a circumcised guy. A - I dont remember it. B - In my opinion, circumcision is beneficial, not only for hygiene, but for aesthetical reasons as well. And as for being made fun of? I hardly think so. It doesnt have any detriment on sensitivity on the whole either. I have NEVER had any problems relating to it, and I highly doubt I ever will, either. Personally, I think you should go for it, but in the long run, it is up to you and the father alone.
