I've decided to take a break from my studying to do a real update on this thing....
For those of you who haven't been paying attention, I've been at DCCC since January after dropping out of Drexel in early fall. It took a while to adjust to the new atmosphere, but I've decided that I like DCCC much better than Drexel. I think that is mostly thanks to the people I've met at DCCC. My classmates are much cooler here...
Anyway... my original plan was to find a new school by the fall. That's not going to happen for two reasons:
1. I can't afford to go anywhere else right now without a massive scholarship.
2. I don't know where I want to go yet and I absolutely refuse to rush into this decision again.
I'm looking at a few places. Tomorrow I'm going to set up a transfer appointment so I can figure out which classes to take next fall so that I'll be able to transfer the credits to UArts, Tyler, St. Joes, Moore, MICA, or Pratt.... or whatever school I pick. So yeah.
I've also decided that I'm not going to be a photography major this time around. I've switched to Art Education. This way, I can actually get a job when I graduate. Better plan, right?
So other than school, I've just been hanging out at home with my family. I still have a few friends in the area, some who go to school with me, which is great. I miss everyone else, but at least I'm not alone. :)
I don't have a lot of free time these days though. I'm either at work, or searching for new jobs. My store is definitely closing now, by the way... so my job is very much in danger.
When I do get some time to chill, I usually watch TV. Massive amounts of TV. But I'm extremely picky about the shows... so I won't just sit down and watch garbage. And I hate commercials, so I watch very little live TV... unless it's a Flyers game.
I've also been reading... FOR FUN. Crazy, right? I never did that in high school. But I've recently discovered that I really enjoy reading. When I'm not forced to read and write reports, books seem a whole lot better. I reread The Great Gatsby this week and remembered why it was one of the few books I didn't hate reading in school. Wonderful book. Also, I think I've fallen in love with Jay Gatsby all over again.
Alright, time to shut up and go back to studying for my history test. But I'll try to post actual updates more regularly.
