almost three weeks in Korea....
time for updates!!!~ XD
Well, right after I came back here, I've been very very very busy.... As always. ^___________^
So I'd do my updates in installments. I wonder when I could finally post real time? Haha!~
October 9 | Arrival in Korea
I arrived in Incheon International Airport around 9pm and was greeted by THIS~ ㅋㅋㅋ
This is Lucid and she's really cool!~ We chatted nonstop in the bus until we got to Korea University an hour and a half later. XD You could say I chatted her ears off hahahaha!~ She was really very helpful and fun to talk with^^
I arrived at the dorm and settled at around 11pm and I totally forgot I didn't even have anything for lunch cos I was too busy doing a lot of things earlier that day! ( Panic Friday, remember?) Budget airline Cebu Pacific doesn't serve food and though I could have bought food to eat, I just wasn't that hungry. I dunno. I was so stressed and tired that I forgot about hunger. I should stress and tire myself more often then hahaha!~ XD Good thing there were lotsa restaurants and kimbap places around where I stay cos it's near a university^^
First meal in Korea 2009: 2 rolls of Kimbap, Kimchi and Danmooji!<3
Nothing expensive and fabulous and why should it be? Kimbap is loooooove hehehehe~
and see how haggard I look? XD hahahahaha!
After that quick meal, I fixed my stuff in my tiny room and finally called it a day. Whew!
October 10 | Cosway and Dream Concert
I met Cathy an hour late NOT because I overslept but because I forgot to change my phone's timezone. XD
Funny funny thing, I thought I was early when I woke up at 8am (Philippine time) and showered and got ready to meet her by 8:30 but she texted me asking where I'm at by 8:15 and I thought, "why is she so early?"... and it's only because I already am running late. Korean time is an hour ahead, btwㅋㅋㅋ
I finally got to meet her at the station right next to mine by 10am(Korean time), and she was already sitting there for an hour! Kahiya!!! XD
We went to Cosway Costco (thanks Cathy ! haha~sabi na nga ba mejo tunog mali to e hehehe~ XD) and shopped in bulk. XD I only changed about $100 at the airport and I didn't have enough money to buy anything so I just bought two 591ml bottles of Cetaphil skin cleanser for me and my nephew cos it's cheap at just about $25 for two 591ml bottles when in the Philippines it's about $20 just for one bottle. >.<
No pictures much cos I was too fascinated at how big Cosway Costco is and I do love grocery shopping so my eyes were wandering everywhere hehehe~ XD
After Cosway Costco, I went to Cathy's to get relief goods hahahahaha!~ XD She gave me some snacks and other stuff I needed in my dorm: a cup, a tumbler and a bowl~~^^ After that, I went back to my dorm and started worrying for my two friends' whereabouts.
The two friends I'm talking about are RJ and Di who suddenly thought they'd like to go see Dream Concert too and went against all odds just to be in Korea by October 10. XD
So after going to a nearby PC 방 (I didn't know I have broadband in my room), I checked Facebook and saw that RJ messaged me saying they're already in Seoul!~ I was so relieved to read that and went straight to Worldcup Stadium to meet them~ and off we went to see Dream Concert!^^
It's a bit unusual to sit there and not be cheering for 동방신기. The sea of red is now turned into blue and a mix of plenty other colors. I did have fun seeing performances from everyone specially Super Junior and Big Bang. I was singing along to 2NE1's songs and dancing along to f(x)'s and Kara's songs!~ It was fun!~ But maybe even more fun if 동방신기 was there hehehehe~ XD
October 11 | Turista Day 1 with RJ and Di
Because RJ and Di didn't have any plans at all, I had to play tour guide throughout their 4-day stay. Well, one day was already used for Dream Concert and since these are fangirls, it won't be too hard to please them hahahaha!~ XD
First day as turistas, we met at Myeongdong and met their friend Michael who had his car and drove us around until lunch time. Because he came from somewhere far, he had to leave earlier and drove us back to their hostel after RJ and Di hoarded CDs at the mall's record bar. XD We went to Namsan Tower after and got semi lost. Had to climb up a long flight of stairs only to find out that we're nowhere near the Namsan Tower we're supposed to go to. Good thing the place was also nice to take pics at and we shot a few and went down the same stairway. Whew. We then got on the bus going up to Namsan Tower finally^^
We took pix with the love locks and then went up the tower~ I've been there a few times now, and I swear nothing's changed since the last time I went there. XD But there was the Teddy Bear Museum and I've long wanted to see those cute bears but just couldn't fly to Jeju to do so... >.< So we went in and had tons of pix taken!!~ XD
It was pretty late after we finished at Namsan and we were sooooo hungry then we decided to go to Dongdaemun and shop. I know right. XD Well, RJ and Di are shopaholics and they definitely had to go to Dongdaemun, so we just ate at a Samkyeopsal Restaurant somewhere near the malls~~
The DDM experience wasn't that very good for my shopaholic friends cos of the not-so-nice and pushy salespeople. XD They both swore they love Myeongdong more than DDM~~ Heheheh~ XD To cheer them up, we went to Apgujeong and found Everysing. Nothing could make them (and me!) happier than singing in the same room as SHINee and ogling at those goodies!~ ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
By the time we finished hanging out at Everysing, it was already past 12 and all our cam's batteries have ran out. Tsk tsk. So we decided to go to JYP! Haha!~
We just had to use my phone's camera!!!~ Good thing the pix quality aren't so bad ^^
Since the subway and the buses already stopped operations at this unholy hour that we're wandering the Apgujeong streets, we decided to walk and walk until we see a jimjilbang or a Korean spa where we could have a rest until the trains start again around 6am. But we couldn't find any and though we found a sauna, the boys and girls have to be separated and we don't want that cos RJ will be left alone~ So we just decided to go home and get a taxi.
While walking, I saw some familiar buildings and told them that SM Entertainment is near where we're at and we should check it out just for the heck of it. XD
And so we did.^^
After that, we decided to go home and have a good rest just to meet up again a few hours later hehe~ XD--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
