While Soohyun, my Korean teaching assistant, and I were on the bus on our way to school today, she saw the Korean lanterns in Cheonggyecheon (the Cheonggye stream in Seoul) and thought it all lit up after class. So we planned to go there right after we finish our work today. And so we did.

Right after we finished our class, we went to Jongno to have dinner. We got 닭갈비 dak-kalbi, some sort of chicken dish and it's really good!~ <3

We were so hungry that we got about three servings of salad, ate up all the udon we mixed with this dak-kalbi, and ordered rice to make 볶음밥 or fried rice with this dish too~ After that we were so full and were ready to brave the very very cold walk along Cheonggyecheon. BTW, it was about -3 degrees celcius and that did not stop us from enjoying the lantern display~ XD

It was so cold that I had to wear gloves~ Look at my cute gloves!!~ XDDDD It has a lion's face and tail in it~~~ (Thanks to Cat!!~ XDDD)
We had a bit of a hard time finding the stairs and while trying to find it, we found this screen that lets you take pics and sends it to your email~ I first saw this in Gangnam and then in Myeongdong, didn't know they also have it in Jongno. I guess it's available pretty much every place there are lotsa tourist, yeah? Anyway, it was so fun taking pix there, FREE! hahahaha!~ XDDDD

And it looks like this: (they DO send you the pics on your email! cool!)

So we finally found the stairs and grabbed every chance we can get to take pics with the lanterns (I won't post the pix up here cos you'd get tired of seeing the same face posing with all kinds of lanterns haha!~) That also meant asking random people to take our picture together and that included one Korean pastor who went to Saipan for three years and practiced his English with us for maybe about 20 minutes? XD Anyway, he was cool. I wonder if he's from Shiwon's church? XDDDD

I love how the Cheonggyecheon was all lit up!~
The "falls" is actually the starting point of the Cheonggyecheon, I was told. And it's in blue!!~ cool!!~ XDDD
It took us about an hour or so to finish walking and taking pics with the lanterns. It was fun and I'd love to do it again ONLY IF it wasn't this cold. T.T
