Not that it's anything new, but I can't sleep. Perhaps it would be too dramatic of a double entendre to say "Justice never sleeps." But at times like this all I really think about it getting through school and starting police academy. When I think about it, it kind of surprises me that it took me this long to decide what direction to take my life. ( Read more... )

Ideally, police aren't a "ruling" class. They're really no different than the Samurai. They're a serving class. Hence the "To serve and protect" I appreciate your support, but I'd also like your understanding. I'm not joining to rule.

it quickly has become more of a ruling class thing, though. it creates division and inequality.

chicago is home to some of the most crooked cops there are. we're blatantly corrupt (especially in the realm of politics) and dont even make an attempt to hide it. its sad. so im jaded.

also, anarchist. its a part of my political beliefs, ultimately.

but i understand your thinking. i just wish more people would do what you do without the need for a badge and, worst of all, gun. power + gun = ehhhhhhhn

I agree with you on some points, but there's a lot that I disagree on. I suppose due to our difference in beliefs. Yes there are crooked ones, but like I said before there's bad anything. Bad cops, bad librarians, bad dog trainers. And you could make the argument that bad librarians don't have the same power as bad cops. But then again it works the same way on the good side. And as far as seeing it as a ruling class I believe that's a perspective thing. Being an anarchist you're bias to see the evil first in any government organization. The evil stands out so much that people quickly forget about the good guys. There's a lot of them. They're doing their thing, but media doesn't care about them. You'll never hear their names on CNN. But they're there. Just as much as the crooked or corrupt guys. So rethink it maybe. For me. I'm not ruling anyone. I'm serving my planet. Just like billions of others.
