People need to raise an uproar all over the world. This is 21st century, the era of information getway. It's our right to express ourselves. The act which threatens sites like DA to shut down, that causes fans to slither inside a cocoon, that builds a barrier against sharing digital media while having no authority over millions of porn sites

I know sweetie. What angers me is that such an act actually exists, waiting to see daylight! There actually are people who want to impose such an act on us in the name of saving copyright. I hope you're right, I hope we win :)

Well, it's true that if SOPA is passed as an act, DA might face the threat of closure because of all the fanworks shared there, which seemingly is an infringement of copyright laws (I really don't see how). Besides, all sorts of digital media shared on web will be policed, including youtube, facebook, tumblr and all sorts of file sharing sites. You won't be able to make a fanvid or make karaoke of your favorite songs and upload them on facebook. It's like severing our rights to freedom one by one. Let's just hope that this damn act never ever sees daylight. And DA is not shutting down immediately, it's just if SOPA is passed, there's a huge possibility.
