Shaking and crying right now for him
Who knew better haircut, a wardrobe change, and not to mention reducing a couple ounce of baby fat can make someone looks more attractive and unrecognisable? But that's not what impressed me, instead it was the change of music style from emo punk sound of Fall Out Boy to soulful, edgy digital edge sound of his new album "Soul Punk". It was certainly a bold leap and high risk, but very courageous of him. And I have to say, I like it. Been listening non stop and can't get enough of it. The more I listen to it, the more excited I get and want to listen more of what he is offering. Not to mention, nice voice. And have I mentioned, he made this record by himself.
It reminds me a little of Justin Timberlake's "Future Sex/Love Sounds" with a touch of Michael Jackson and Prince falsetto voice (does this make sense). But some places still have the reminiscence of Fall Out Boy sound, maybe because of the same oooh, yeayaya, oeoeoeoe he made in the previous records. Though, this is more stylish... heaps more.
Please keep making awesome songs and hope he can survive being a solo artist. The record company better promote the hell out of him.
