sick sick sick... Deb's down with a sinus infection, I've got something nasty and respiratory going on. stocked up on Dayquil and Nyquil, whee. actually took Thursday off... but Sunday (apparently at midnight) is Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii!. I sure hope that whoever writes the Freedonia story makes sure their president smokes cigars and wiggle their eyebrows. :D (and it ought to make for great/funny reading - I'm looking forward to it)

I'm surprised that Twilight doesn't help out more with the spamming problem. Maybe Ian should think about making one of the mods an admin, or make Frodo one to help you guys out. I hope the drudgery of spam busting gets better for you.

Mark was off Thurs too (it was our 9th anniversary) so we had lots of fun, but I'm sorry you and Deb didn't. Feel better soon, the both of you!

we're working on it. slowing. gah. Deb's been on her z-pack for all but one pill, should be recovering soon. the chorus of coughing is not a pleasant cacophony right now.

only one person dared do the Freedonia challenge. 3 did the X-men/Avengers chat, 3 did the GL challenge (two with Lois, one with Booster, and sadly none with Babs), and no one took on any of the other comics challenges (Astro City, Invisible, Criminal). six did the "alliteration" challenge, 4 did fables, two did odes to minimum wage workers, and one did the Lovecraft one.

One of the most disappointing parts of this for me was that people spent so much effort pushing the boundaries of the challenges that I rarely got to read the stories I was hoping to see. I wanted to see someone try to cross Deedee (Death) with another comic. I really wanted to see Barbara Gordon as a GL - hell, I'd pitch that to DC, she's got the will for it. And I wanted someone to write a happy ending to Les Miserables.

ah well, c'est la vie.
