Had a good 5-a-side football dream, not good enough to warrant elaboration, though :-p

Other than that I have played Diablo 3 all day, I guess I'm just treating this PTR like a bonus season.
I'm paragon 375 or so. I cleared GR60 around P300, and I've picked up some upgrades and legendary gem ranks since then, so I guess I could go at least a couple higher without too much difficulty.
I have run a few bounties in order to get some things in the cube. I'll run a few more tomorrow but I don't need to go overboard since the insane legendary drop-rate pretty much covers the two main gear-getting recipes. I just need enough materials to extract some powers and clear up stash space.
I'm playing Strafe with the stupidly overpowered ring set. It'll be interesting to see how it gets nerfed. I can't tell what I think the ceiling for the build is because I'm absolutely miles from a solid set up. There are better legendary gems available and they could be at least 50 levels higher, I'm 1000 Paragon levels short of being remotely competitive. My gear rolled well or rerolled to perfection. And my build could be (significantly) stronger in some ways - I'm using Obs Zod in order to keep perma-Vengeance but a better solution would be to get a load of CDR as it would free me up to use either Unity, the DH damage reduction ring or Convention.
Still, Crusaders are already to GR90. Sometimes numbers in D3 get really big, really fast, but I don't think I'll be threatening that with Strafe - the damage just isn't there.
The popular build seems to be one I was looking at yesterday - Marauder / Shadow hybrid using both 4pc bonuses. I wonder how much "toughness" Demon Hunters have in the ~80s they seem capable of. How many reducers are they stacking? Hrm, how many can I get in the build I'm running?
Chest 50%. Cubed Ring 50/60%. Ring set 52%. Vengeance 50%. Shoulders 25%. And there's room for more... bracers if I care to use a basic once in a while, belt (string of ears, or just 7% from the DH belt). Well... that's actually quite a lot. I feel reasonably squishy at the moment but I'm lacking two 50% reducers.
The issue would be damage. 5000 mainstat would be 50%. But after that it's a load of smaller percentage gains all over the place, but I have no idea how well they'd stack up. I can see how I'd get near the Multishot build (mid 70s) but I'm not sure how far it could go. For all I can improve gems, I can't have all of them! I'm running Pain Enhancer, Trapped and Powerful. Powerful is pretty much lousy, and would be swapped for Stricken, I'm sure. Pain Enhancer seemed like a good idea for the raw damage of the DOT, but I think Taeguk might be better. Or would dropping Stricken for Zei's be an idea?
Ah, I don't know. It doesn't seem hopeful. I'm not too concerned about making *this* build work, but I'd really kinda like it to be competitive - I've always wanted Strafe to be awesome.
Elsewhere I saw someone dismiss the idea of making 6pc Shadow have AOE by using area damage but that was what I was thinking about trying. And the dismissal hasn't put me off. It *seems* crazy to attempt to turn single target into AOE but with enough focus on it, maybe, maybe. With the 6pc Impale does 40,000% damage. Just paragon Area Damage makes that a 4000% AOE. Every 25% on an item is another 2000% AOE. I think I'd need to see it in action.
Anyway, I guess that's why I'm just focused on gearing up and farming. I can do all the testing once I have a crap-load of good gear. I have bits and pieces, but I don't have a crap-load of good stuff yet.
