2010 in review, since I don't post much. Below a cut cause it's long.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Learned to identify fish and fish eggs. Long way to go to be an expert, but it was interesting.
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really do resolutions; they hardly ever stick and then you feel crappy.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
An old friend from Kentucky, and my cousin Jared's wife.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not this year.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, though Puerto Rico was different enough that it was like another country in many ways.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
More money in the savings account at the end of the year.
7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I got robbed in Vieques, Puerto Rico. It would not be an exaggeration to say it was THE most terrible day of my life so far.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Got a job and an apartment, no more unemployed living with mom and dad!
9. What was your biggest failure?
We moved into the new place in October and have still not completely unpacked.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing crazy.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
New bookshelves, and my desk.

My parents were awesome when we were living with them; I know it can't have been easy.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Can't think of anything in particular.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, credit cards, food.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
We were gifted the money to buy our new shelves and some other furniture. This was amazing because what organization the apartment has is due to this; I don't know if I could've faced it without that motivation.
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2010?
Anything by Carla Bruni (yes, the French president's wife)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder?--happier
Thinner or fatter?--I don't remember; weight has fluctuated this year. I think I'm a little heavier though.
richer or poorer?--earning more money, but we have more expenses.

Organization; reading; knitting.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
feeling overwhelmed.

We spent Christmas at home and with my family. Missed
yechezkiel 's family in KY. I didn't decorate. Christmas didn't feel very Christmasy.
