We checked on the apartment and went to the mall, seeking dinner and snowboots for me.  On the way out we saw power crews working on lines near us.  Snowboots were a failure, dinner was mediocre, and as we went to turn back to Father's we saw that most of our complex was out... but wait, what's that glow of streetlights down towards our turn ( Read more... )

Fortunately, Fr.A has invited us to stay with them, where it's warm.

We're out power, again.  It's COLD in the apartment.

Sigh.

Just found out that this year I'm getting a 2.9% raise.  Nothing amazing, but with the economy as it is.... Upper level management didn't get raises at all.  Hopefully it'll be just enough more per pay period that we break even on the rise in health insurance costs; we were down a bit on this last paycheck (which didn't yet include the raise ( Read more... )
