[Prologue]

Rin was walking with her friend and was barely paying attention to her surroundings; she was too engrossed about the nameless book she found not so long ago. The book was nameless and the book cover wasn’t even eye catching, but what caught Rin’s interest was the fact nothing was written on the book. Unknown to Rin her friend has been calling her for the last five minutes.
“Gosh, Rin how many times do I have to call you” moaned Natsuko
Rin just stared at her blankly and Natsuko just gave out a sighed and eyed the book Rin was reading for the last few days.
“You know I already warned you several times about that book right?” said Natsuko
“I know you did” said Rin
“Then why don’t you…” before Natsuko could continue Natsuko’s phone started vibrating, being a girl who wants to know everything she took a peak behind her friend’s back and noticed who texted her and a smile was seen in her friend’s face.
“You better go” smiled Rin “Your lover boy is waiting for you”
“Stop it!” laughed Natsuko “I better go meet Yama-chan then, I’ll text you later and be careful!”
Rin waved at her friend who rushed the other direction and when her friend was out of sight she sighed and traced the book with her hands before continuing walking. Suddenly she felt chills running down her back she felt an ominous presence and the there was a sudden change of atmosphere in contrast to when her friend was still with her.
Suddenly she suddenly felt uneasy and the fact that her friend’s warning was now lingering and surfacing in her head wasn’t helping, Rin started to power walk when she noticed a girl standing just a bit further away from her, she saw the girl’s smile was directed at her but there was something off about it and a small voice was telling her to run and giving her warnings.
But she felt the need to go and talk to her she took small baby steps towards the girl as her heart rate began to increase.
The girl stretched her hand out to Rin, she noticed this and before she could do the same she felt a strong forced pulling her back. As she landed bottom first on the ground before finally snapping back into reality and looked behind her, there was a guy who seemed to be near her age and she hasn’t seen him before.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” asked Rin to her attacker who pulled her to the ground
“Let see…Saving you from your death?” said the guy who pointed in front of her, Rin’s gaze landed on the raging river in front of her, she didn’t even noticed how close she was into falling into it. Her gaze went back to the guy behind her.
“Um thank you um…” started Rin
“Ryutaro…My name is Ryutaro” smiled the guy and Rin’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat “Be careful…”
Before she said something the guy who called himself “Ryutaro” was already walking away from her, she shrugged her shoulder and continued making her way home.
“I’m home” shouted Rin “Mom? Dad?”
Rin walked around her house looking for her parents when she found a note stuck in front of the fridge it said;
“Rin, me and your dad won’t be back till later so if you’re hungry there’s food out for you just heat it up
Love Mom and Dad”
Rin noticed the wrapped food in the table and decided not to eat seeing as she wasn’t really hungry and went straight to her room. She sat on her bed with a ‘plop’ she noticed the book poking out of her bag and Rin grabbed it, she opened the page she was going to leave it before noticing the slight change of colour of the pages.
She squinted her eyes and she noticed that there was a faint writing but she couldn’t make it out, then all of a sudden that same feeling of her being watched and the same ominous presence was there again.
She gulped and felt too scared to look beside her in the back of her mind she knew someone or something was standing beside her, she felt her heart race she gathered her courage up and slowly turned to face her side and luckily for her nothing was there but a small black butterfly.
She still felt uneasy but even so she decided to sleep it off she closed her eyes and completely missing the figure of the person just behind the trees that covered her window.
“It’s begun....” whispered the mysterious figure
