Did you go see the movie at that quiet theater that you wrote about once?

Have you seen No Country For Old Men?
I'd be interested to know what you think of that one.

I did go to the quiet theater. But, there was a huge crowd. My guess is there were as many as ten people there. That left only 990 seats for me to choose from. Luckily, it wasn't the theater where they assign seating.

I actually moved seats three times during the movie, which I *never* do.

I have not seen "No Country for Old Men" but want to see it. It's a Cohen Brothers film and I love their work. And, everyone I know who has seen it raves about it.

Did you see "Mullholland Drive", the David Lynch film? If so, what did you think of it? (It came out several years ago, actually...)

Critics are calling NCFOM a masterpiece... I must be the only person on the face of the planet that thinks it was from from that.

Sure, the Coens' do what they do best with their unconventional editing techniques and their love of themes that involve greed, tragedy and the absurd.. and I do give them credit for that. Is NCFOM a masterpiece, though? Hardly...

And don't even get me started on the ending of this movie... worst ending EVER!

Well, other than that, though... how do you feel about it? ;-)

I never saw that film. I have seen him in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", "In the Name of the Father" and in "The Gangs of New York". He was excellent in all of those.

I've also seen him in several of the hard-core porn movies he's made.
