I'm jealous, actually--I've never been called to jury duty and - with the exception of four summers in the Santa Cruz area, I've lived here all my life!

Yep, and I have a driver's license. Either gets you on the register. It's fine, though. I only grouse because of the parking.

My dear husband was called into jury duty and really really wanted out, since it shut our business down.
Do you know Weed California?
We have a T-shirt from there that looks like a Coca-Cola logo that says:
Enjoy Weed
He wore that everyday to jury duty.
He was dismissed.

LOL Had he worn it to court just about anywhere in California, he'd have been made the judge. And, yes, I know Weed, CA. :-)

Nice one! Perhaps you'll get a juicy murder like I did. Ugh. Actually I found the whole process fascinating, but I can understand how you might well see it with a jaundiced eye.

What is a jaundiced eye, anyway? Is it a yellow eye? Why would you eye go yellow if you've had a lot of experience with something? What happens if you look through rosy-coloured spectacles with a jaundiced eye?
