A copy of one of my introductory posts:

Hi everybody,

Declan here. My mom Xanateria just joined this site and she told me that I could make some posts of my own, even if she does have to help me with the typing. I wish I could tell you all about all the neat things I get to help my mom do, but that would take too long. My favourite parts of my job ( Read more... )

Dear Declan:

I'm one of those two-legged creatures that likes to pet four-legged creatures. But I always ask the two-legs for permission first. If the two-legs says no, then I don't pet the four-legs.

I have some four-legged companions of my own who help me out. They don't do it quite the same way you do for your mom, but they cheer me up when I'm depressed and they alert me when my blood sugar is low. If they didn't alert me when my blood sugar is low, I could pass out and have a seizure. I don't make them do it. They do it because they want to.

You are a very special dog to take care of your mom the way you do. I'm sure she takes good care of you, just like you do of her.

Hi Declan, I'm another two-legs who liks to pet four-legged critters. I once wanted to pet a guide dog belonging to a blind lady. She told me not to, and I didn't get cranky. I apologised and we chatted about why it's best not to pet service dogs. Most folks just don't know. But it doesn't help if they get cranky about it. Silly people.

Anyway, I think you're lovely and doing a great job.
