Here's my
AO3.

2017 Let's get started.
Quick note: I don't remember if I deliberately didn't count my alternate versions of Standing Right in Front of You, but I'll be combining it into one count this year since it is the same fic only in different posting formats, and so the stats should be combined.
Quick note two: I'll use ♠ to indicate that something has gone up in the ranks since last year, ♦ to indicate that it stayed where it was, and ♥ that it moved down. ♣ will show that it's new on the list.
What's your first and second most common work ratings? Any surprises?
Most common: Explicit (24) ♠
Second most common: General Audiences (21) ♥
I've finally had a change here. I didn't publish anything rated Gen in the last year, but a bunch of higher rated things.
What's your most common archive warning? Least common? Do you consider yourself an adventurous writer?
Most common: No Archive Warnings Apply (51) ♦
Least common: Underage (1) ♦
This remains the same as last year, except that I corrected the warning on some fics and there are now 2 more for which the archive warnings don't apply. The Underage Warning applies to one fic in the
Road to Nowhere verse,
No One Hates Me Like I Do.
I'm still not that adventurous XD Road to Nowhere certainly challenged me the most, but this year I wrote a whole series of smut fics, which I've never done before either.
How many fics have you written in each relationship category? Is this more accidental, or do you have preferences?
M/M: 40 ♠
Gen: 10 ♦
Multi: 5 ♠
F/M: 3 ♠
F/F: 1 ♦
Other: 1 ♣
Still definitely a preference, but I've written more Multis, more het relationships, and added one Other (relationship between woman and non-binary character), so while male slash is still my prefered category, I've stretched my wings a little.
What are your top 4 fandoms by numbers? Are you still active in any of them, and do you tend to migrate a lot?
Merlin (TV): 37 ♠, still active, but might change?
Sherlock (TV): 7 ♦, no longer active, still trying hard to forget I ever was xD
Leverage: 6 ♦, no longer active, might go back one day?
Supernatural (RPF) ♦: 2, no longer active and no desire to go back
I was all gung-ho to add more fandoms to this list but I ended up writing more for Merlin after all. I guess I just feel comfortable in that fandom. Maybe I can finally get into something new next year.
What are your top 4 character tags? Does this match how you feel about the characters, or are you puzzled?
Morgana (Merlin) (8) ♠
Percival (Merlin) (6) ♦
Lancelot (Merlin) (6) ♦
Uther Pendragon (Merlin) (5) ♦
So, these are definitely mostly side-characters, because I don't tag for characters that are part of a tagged ship. Bit surprised by Morgana since I didn't think I put her in that many more fics?
What are your top 2 most used additional tags, and your bottom 2? What would happen if you combined all 4 of these into a fic?
Most used: AU - Modern Setting (23) ♦; Blow Jobs (14) ♦
Least used: Fluff (6) ♠; Friendship (6) ♠
I'm laughing because that's over 10 more fics in modern setting, and about three times as many blowjob fics as the year before. Apparently I also wrote more about Fluff and Friendship XD.
How many WIPs do you have currently running on AO3? Any you don't plan on finishing?
I never post WiPs. I've started and discontinued a bunch of fics that I've got saved on my hard drive (2 Harry Potter, a few Narnia, some Hockey, and even some Merlin), and I've got a list with two dozen ideas for new stories that might see the light of day some day, but I never post WIPs.
Total Stories Published 2018: 15 ♦
Total Words Published: 62,761 words ♥
Average Words Per Story: 4,184 words ♥
Shortest Story:
Prologue, the beginning of the
Eight Days a Week series, 869 words, Explicit (for smut!)
Longest:
You Swiped Right, 22,038 words, Explicit (for smut)
I only published about a third of the word count from last year, which is not surprising. I may have published the same amount of stories, but they are shorter. Much shorter. Just look at the difference between 70k+ for my longest story last year, to 22k for the longest one this year.
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I wrote more than I thought, and nothing what I thought I'd write. In my defense, I was also organising and hosting a convention in September, so that really occupied my time a lot.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write most?
Arthur/Merlin once more, but with a healthy dash of Arthur/other people. I hope to be able to move to a different pairing in 2019. I'm feeling a bit of the Merthur fatigue now.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
Sid/Anna/Geno for my first Hockey RPF fic certainly was a surprise XD And Arthur/everyone was also a bit of a surprise. Really happy I wrote Freya/Percival though.
Did you take any writing risks this year?
I did not expect to write so much for the bottom!Arthur week. This series makes up a third of my total word count for this year, and I wrote it all in about a fortnight.
Do you have any fanfic or general writing goals for the new year?
Looking back at all the things I wanted to write this year... I just hope I can finish this Merlin fic project I've started a couple of weeks ago. And maybe write one more hockey fic, to dip my toes in it and get more comfortable with these "characters".
From the past year of writing, what was your…
Best written story of this year:
You Swiped Right - It was fun to write, fun to post, and I truly enjoy everything about it.
Most popular story of this year: by Kudos,
The Cat's Meow, 637 kudos
Personal favourite:
You Swiped Right, same reason as why I picked it for Best story.
Most under-appreciated: I don't think there is one that's underappreciated this year. They all got about as much attention as I expected from them. It does show though that my Freya/Percival fic is the most niche thing I wrote this year because it's also the least popular with just 6 kudos.
Most fun to write:
A Helping Hand, 427 words
Story with the single sexiest moment: Arthur's method to wake up Merlin in
Prologue is one of my favourite sexy bits of the entire series.
Most "ha ha, I can’t believe I wrote this" story: Uh, the entire
Eight Days a Week series??? It's not that I hadn't thought about something like that before, but I never thought I'd ever publish it.
Most challenging to write:
and one makes three, simply because they're new "characters" and I'm learning how to write them.
Biggest disappointment: This is like most under-appreciated, and I don't think there is a fic like that in my repertoire this year. Every story I published received about as much recognition as I expected.
Favourite character to write: I don't have one at the moment. I'm not sure I did well on the characterisation before. I'm doubting myself a lot recently, so... idk.
Favorite opening lines: Merlin always thought he’d do something spectacular with his life. from
The Cat's Meow I relate to this line so much XD.
Favourite closing lines: She won. from
Nasturtium It's a story about Freya's fight to survive and come out on top.
Other favourite lines: Pendragon Books is to London's bookselling industry what Sauron is to Middle-Earth: Bad fucking news.
Summary for
You Swiped Right I'm honestly so happy with this fic. There are a bunch of good lines in that one, if I say so myself.
Most telling fic: Part of
The Cat's Meow. I, too feel aimless and not where I'm supposed to be in life. Except I can't understand animals.
Totals**
User Subscriptions: 104 ♠ (2016: 28 | 2017: 47)
Kudos: 7,377 ♠

Word Count: 527,641 (2017: 464,789)
Hits: 146,782 (2017: 75,017)
User subscriptions have more than doubled??? I'm attributing this to the amount of smut I published this year.
I continue to fail at tracking the increase in kudos because I forgot to check ALL YEARS last year. Not sure if the same thing happened with the comment threads, but it is actually possible that they nearly doubled. 2018 gave me nearly 200 comment threads alone. Same thing again for bookmarks. I doubt I actually gained nearly a 1000 bookmarks in a year. Not entirely surprised that my hits doubled.
Totals, unfortunately, also don't separate between pseudonyms, so these stats aren't accurate to just fic. However, I doubt the podfics make that much impact XD.

Not disappointed that only one Sherlock fic is left on this list. Am disappointed that some of my better Merlin works didn't make the cut. My favourite holiday RomCom from last year got bumped off right away again (it's in place 11). Ah well. Can't predict what people will like. Who knew an Arthur-centric gangbang would get so popular so fast xD. Not surprised that Inkling climbed to the top, though. More on that in the next segment.

I rarely receive kudos emails during which Inkling doesn't have at least one new kudos. Again very pleased that only one Sherlock work remains in this list. And given how far down it dropped (from #6 to #9), maybe next year it'll be gone entirely. Also: this list just shows that hits mean nothing. No Winter Lasts Forever didn't even rank in the top 10 for hits, and here it's on rank 7.

It's so interesting to see that even just last year, the highest Bookmarks count was 125, and now that fic has over 400 Bookmarks, and the last one on this list still has 60 Bookmarks (last year's 10th place had 22.)

You know, I could be salty about the fact that so many people read Inkling, but only a fraction of them bothers to leave a comment, but I'm trying to be more positive and forgiving and understanding, and I'm trying not to apply the standards to which I hold myself to other people so much, so... I guess I'll be ready to let it go soon XD.
On a more positive note: Thank God other fics have made it on this list, once again, to push out the Sherlock fic. Although, if any of my Sherlock fics were to still receive attention, I'm glad it's this one because it's the one I'm most proud of in that fandom.

If you needed more proof that I took something of a writing break this year, this list is it. There's no change until we drop below 25k. That's okay though. Quantity =/= Quality, right?
** Note to myself: Kudos for fics posted in previous years: 2008: 3 | 2009: 282 | 2012: 477 | 2013: 109 | 2015: 228 | 2016: 697 | 2017: 3,687 | 2018: 1,894.
[1] Leaving out bonus materials and any content that isn't actual fiction. I did create an alternate pseudonym for podfics, etc. though, so the data should be more accurate.
