He is not going to be very happy...angst warning ahead. Not really that bad but there will be a...well you'll see. You know how jealous Spike can be...how he jumps to conclusions and how Xander is really not very good at explaining things....misunderstandings always happen. And let's not forget poor Spike and his insecurities. He's as bad as Xander, although he always covers his by getting angry and doing stupid things just to prove that no one can hurt that big heart of his, even when it's breaking. Hope to get it up tonight or tomorrow if my husband will quit nagging me about this stupid garage sale we're supposed to have. I hate those things! I'm just happy that people still remember this story. I hope that now that RL will be settling down in a few months and I've finished my webpage (which really kicked my ass. I probably did everythign the hard way) that I can update at least once every week or two on both stories. Long Route has been kicking my ass...my muse is running in circles on me about a few things...but I have written at least 3 more chapters of Amends (handwritten) that I will try to type in as soon as possible. I will definitely finish these stories because I always hate when people don't finish stories I like. Although I hate it when it's so long between updates, too. Hits myself over head. My muse has also been running towards two rather AU stories (one western with X/S, W/A and all four) and one is an undercover cop Xander (A/S with Xander coming in later...Xander's gonna be kind of a slut in this one and it's gonna take a while for A/S to snatch him up)but I haven't started posting them as I don't want people thinking I'm abandoning the other two

I was kind of confused though. What exactly is the cousin's name because there's a Michelle and a Melissa, and I'm thinking they're the same person, but I'm kinda sleepy and my mind might have slipped a gear.
While "The Zeppo" was one of my all time favorite episodes, for obvious reasons, I always hated how his friends so easily dismissed his help...I could kinda understand Buffy being worried after he got knocked around in the first fight but as Spike said, 'why was this time any different from all the other times Xander stood by her side? Spike and Angelus alone were powerful vampires not to mention the Master so....
As far as the cousin's name, thanks for pointing that out to me. That's what I get for not having updated in so long. And I think my mind has already slipped a couple of gears or two. lol. I will have to go back and change the name for this chapter. Either that or she has a split personality. *g*. Thanks for the lovely f/b. Always good to know there are still people reading this fic.

I understand re: the name. I am in an RP where I have probably between 15 and 20 characters of my own to keep straight, and all of them have full names, places of birth, and characteristics I have problems keeping straing, especially when they have names like Brennan and Brandon (another person named them).
About the council....totally agree. Such asses. And I am right there with you on being defensive when it comes to Xander. He was always my favorite on the show because of the fact that he was the 'normal' one. Well, let me re-phrase that...normal in that he was human. But he was anything but normal or ordinary. Xander was so passionate, courageous and loyal with his friends, not to mention his wit, that you couldn't help but love him. He was no more an ordinary person than Spike was an ordinary vampire. Both of them were so mistreated, by way of being overlooked and such. And even though Xander told Spike to stay away from Buffy, have you ever noticed his expression when Giles is warning Spike off? At first he jokes but then he seems to feel sorry for Spike...like he understands what it's like to be in love with Buffy and not have that love returned. Same after Glory beat Spike up. He threatened Spike, then turned around and helped save him and even ended up making the comment that he 'almost felt sorry for the guy'. It

Welcome back! I really like this story and I have been looking forward to seeing where else you were going to take our boys. I have to admit I almost feel like this is a second chapter or a sequel or something because I felt the first 'arc' if you will, was concluded at the end of 14 with Angel saying "I wonder if my old apartment is still available." Now I see that you are going for a new 'arc' with tensions ahead. Never could stand Faith although I certainly see the attraction. lol I understand Xander's rational for lying about it was to avoid trouble but I have a feeling that it's going to backfire on him. So sorry that it has taken this long to respond to your f/b. I try to make sure I answer everyone's but evidently I missed a couple, yours being one of them. Please accept my apologies....I love to get f/b and I don't want to discourage anyone from writing me. That being said, I'm so happy that you like this story and I am going to be posting the next chapter within the next hour or so, so keep a watch out. *bg* Maybe I'll even be able to get in two...knowing my luck here lately though, I wouldn't hold my breath.
